    Hi! I discovered you a few days ago and I already saw tons of your videos. You are amazing, I've learnt a lot from you. I know how much effort it requires to make the videos alone while doing the job and then editing them, expecially in this detailed way. With your videos one really learns how to do things, you deserve to be the most famous diy car guy on youtube! Thankyou so much, greatings from Italy.

    Not sure why information on the fuel system is so hard to come by. Great video. I really like that you explained how it works and showed an alternative way to get the lines done. I think they are the most expensive my Scirocco project.
    BTW, you can lightly bubble flare the end of the high pressure metal lines to keep the clamp from blowing off instead of using 3-4 clamps. The bubble flare tools are cheap and save a lot of money. I just buy bulk coils of line. Copper Nickel is cheap online and makes things so much easier when it comes to brake lines. Also you can strip the old fittings out of the lines and reuse them with new hose.
    Now I just need to find an affordable source of line to replace all my braided lines up front

    Thanks so much for putting these videos together! They are very clear and detailed. My son and I are working on an 85 Cab that’s been sitting for 18 years. The gas tank and lines are trash.
    We’re installing a new tank tomorrow, if all goes well.
    Thanks again!

    Rather than having to put three clamps on the rubber to copper joint. Solder an olive onto the copper line to provide a mechanical ridge which will stop the rubber pipe pulling off. You only need one clip now not three, much more elegant solution and one the professionals do.

    Jak widzę te wąskie trytytki (plastic strips) na wężu gumowym trochę się obawiam, że kiedyś przetrą wąż. Robię na statkach, gdzie jest dużo drgań i widziałem już przetarte węże ciśnieniowe.

    I am doing the same exact projects to my mk1 rabbit. Your videos have be very helpful. I hoping to pick your brain regarding the CIS. I removed my fuel distributer and cleaned it. I reinstalled it along with new injectors. With the injectors removed i can get fuel out of them win i manually hold up the plunger, but i only start seeing fuel when the plungers is about 50% up. Is this normal? With everything connected i dont get any fuel while cranking. I am almost certain there are no vacuum leaks. I am assuming that the mixture need to be adjusted but all the videos i see about adjusting the air fuel mixture imply the car already runs. Any thoughts?

      Very interesting. I'm sort of going through the same problem, troubleshooting through it one video at a time, I've only had the car running maybe two times, then it stopped running and it hasn't ran since .

    • @ProblemSolverGarage
      @ProblemSolverGarage  Год назад

      I'm starting with, new fuel pumps, accumulator and fuel lines, making sure the correct pressure is getting to the CIS

    • @ProblemSolverGarage
      @ProblemSolverGarage  Год назад

      When you pull on the plunger manually are the injectors out of the engine?

    • @Cojamo9
      @Cojamo9 Год назад

      Yes I have all the injectors pulled and pointed in cups. I can watch the fuel come out. When the plunger out the pressure is strong. I have my tank bypassed and have the fuel pump going directly in the fuel distributor. New tank and lines came in. Putting them in this weekday hopefully

    you go to the trouble of cleaning and repainting underside of car, get a new tank...and then install rusty looking tank washers. I realize no one will likely see them, but it reflects on your work. Why couldnt you wire brush them and paint them white ?
