AMEN 🙏🏻 God doesn’t change like shifting shadows! God is always good!! It’s our minds and our flesh that produce temptation! May we be freed from sin by the power of Jesus and dwell in Gods sanctuary all our days to eternity 🙌🏻

Because..in Life..Stuff Happens..and we have choices to make everyDay..And we are challenged to make the Right choice. Is this Not the challenging part of life..That makes it Worth Living?
+Marty Blackman.. Jesus said.."Lead us Not into temptation..But deliver us from evil." He did not explain it. Since Jesus did not explain..I do not know. James has his opinion. But Jesus is the only opinion that counts. I know from my own experience..that your mind tells you a lot of stuff..and you need to listen carefully for the voice of God. This is awesome. What kind of death is being pointed here after full growth of sin? Is James talking in a sense of loosing salvation, or is he pointing to God's ways of proving who is really saved and who is not?
I have desires.. My desires are That God will save my family. Those are my heart desires. So in I sinning By desiring that ? I had asked God for so long now.
It comes down to your family too get saved. It does say not to worry about those that don't make it. Since it has always been about you and your relationship with God. Not you and your family and God.

Thanks again, God Bless you.
@@susanmuncan3170 Those type of desires are in line with God's desire for people to love and know him (Matthew 23:37, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Timothy 2:4). There is nothing wrong with praying and desiring for our family to know Jesus. Desire leads to sin when we decide to ignore God or act on things that lead us away from him.
+Marty Blackman..Jesus Said.."Lead us Not into temptation..but Deliver us from evil.". It sounds to me like there is possibility God Could Lead one into temptation..by this statement..which Jesus made. And since Jesus is God..I would be inclined to go with what HE Said..rather than men.
The question is, why does God test some so much more than others?! We all face tests to varying degrees in life, but some face almost insurmountable and repetitive trial and tragedy and yet, others; apart from the more trivial and pedestrian problems in life, lead blessed and enjoyable existences! It doesn't quite add up!!!
Like how Christ endured the cross, like how the apostles and early Christians perservered in their persecution, like how me and you have to endure being shunned in our social circles because we are Christians without necessarily being physically harmed, take not of life's dynamic nature, tomorrow we might be hunted. All in all, what is everything for? 1. His glory, His purpose 2. Our good. For point 2. Due to the diversity of our personalities, so is their diverse temptations to perfect us in our own way, uniquely to be perfect as He is perfect
Your own Mind can Trick you and Tempt you. You Need to Learn the difference between Gods Voice and Your own Mind. You really need to Be especially Careful you are NOT following someone Elses Mind. If you are going to make a mistake..better to make your own..than make all the ones Piper teaches here.
jeff ouellette I CANT fight temptation. It’s crippling. I feel completely abandoned by God. Ur telling me that I have to do this all on my own. I already feel like God left me to do this all on my own. God hates me.
Jeff, holy sexual desire was given before the fall. Many sincere believers feel guilt over sexual desire wrongly. Desire is not wrong, only misplaced desire. Matt 5:28 is desire that has cross the line to intentions of adultery. That's James point about "conceiving" where sexual desire misplaced has now become evil desire. Basically to recognize beauty and be curious and attracted is not wrong. But the Lord expects us to turn to Him in faith and not seek to look at or touch forbidden fruit - meaning anyone who is not one's spouse. So the sin comes if one wants to have sex with someone who they are not married to, or if they want to use them as an visual or mental fantasy or object of sexual pleasure. Here's a couple of verses to consider about healthy, holy sexual desire in marriage: 1 Corinthians 7:5 "Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control." So sexual desire, saved for marriage is healthy and holy. (xref Heb 13:4, Pro 5:18-19)
@@danball4410 yeah God gave us a conscience. and we receive the Holy Spirit and the law would be written on the heart and the mind. That just proves that not every believer lives for God. Or is saved. there have been many Christians that I've witnessed their testimonies saying that they gave their life to Christ and they never felt the Holy Spirit moving in their life. And that is with belief and faith. Most people do not adhere to the full word of God. and that's the only way the holy spirit is going to work in someone's life. as many times as I've told people that God told me that we could lose the Holy Spirit you think people should take that into consideration. no one had the right to ever say that we couldn't lose salvation. for if no one ever did people would still worry about the things that they do that they shouldn't be doing. I know Christians 30 years ago acted like Christians. And look at the heresies today.
@@danball4410 I found a word one day in the Bible and I googled the definition and the meaning was how a person acts during sex and it was forbidden. And so many people act this today. It's a sin for women to have anal sex. Does this stop them. Some listen, not all. Christian or not.

When you give your life to Christ and you're truly living for him you will be more tempted by Satan. We are to overcome the temptation.
Kathleen that doesn't answer the question I asked though, does it.

Tested and tempted are the same word in Bible but you're reading in your own definition to cover the confusion. Any better cross references?
Over five cross references were in this video! Lack of Greek knowledge and still being dogmatic in biblical interoperation is not safe.

When are the 'mistakes' in the video? It seems you haven't listened to it or made incorrect assumptions.
Well that’s terrifying then if I am a slave to my own sin and God has absolutely no say in me being strong enough to get out of it
