It’s always good to see an update from you (and a little off topic and random, but always seeing that same painting in the background is a nice constant as well).
Thanks for sharing your story. I am 54 year old in TN. The hate is so scary. Your story has really inspired me and watching all of your videos helped me find my path. Please keep sharing updates.
You give me so much hope-I aspire and am inspired. I am so incredibly grateful for you sharing and the amount I resonate with your perspective so much, that in itself has been such a wonderful gift.
There are ways to minimize scarring - even very old ones. Consider either using a silicone scar sheet or using a scar gel like Mederma. Most of the latter scar gels use onion-based extracts. These can be bought online, but some doctors (e.g. dermatologists) sell them. They really work but the scar reduction is slow. As far as facial hair and chest hair and hair loss: there are genetic components to how much hair is produced on the human body. Also, the propensity to go bald is based on the amount of receptors to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) are there in your scalp hair. Testosterone is converted by an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase into DHT, which causes hair follicles that are sensitive to DHT (almost just scalp hair in the frontal and vertex of the head). And genetic females (XX) can inherit this, it's just that because they don't make much natural testosterone and because they produce the competing hormone estrogen, their tendency to go bald is practically nonexistent until they hit menopause.
Congrats! When I was figuring out things for myself 5 years, your videos were a goldmine of information. August will be my 5 yr anniversary since starting T. Thank you. 👍🙏
I met Buck at a sex-positive event here in DC about 12 years ago, nice guy. He's had his own issues, as I'm sure you're well aware. Congrats on the progress and sharing your story for others to learn from!
I am a transman in SLO county. Started a year ago and had top surgery 6 months ago. I have a friend in SLO who does surgical recovery cosmetic tattooing. She can blend scarring and add color, shape, and/or dimension to your nipples. She is a breast cancer survivor and started this specialized tattooing to help people. She wants to help the trans community, too, if you're interested. I will be having her do some work on me after 1 yr post-op. Congrats on your 9 yrs!!!
Congrats on 9 years. I'm glad to see you are doing well. I am almost 7 years on T now and I've been watching your videos since before I started my physical transition.
Grateful to have an update from you! Good to see you're doing well overall and I love your transcestors wall. It's a difficult time for a lot of us but we will get through.💚
Congrats on the 9 years!! And omg i love your collage in the background! I recognise so many iconic queer faces, and i love the fun looking (what i think are) bi pride flags! Giving me inspiration for my own room :D
I hate the crap JK is saying, but I cannot ever get rid of my books. They got me through the worst times in my life. They are still keeping me sane. At least till I can start T, get top surgery, maybe then I can get rid of my books aka security blanket lol I just need the escape, and haven't been able to find anything better, I've tried :(
@@rl7012 Feel f ee to google her anti trans, holocaust related weird stuff, anti lgbt stuff and watch the videos / read her tweets yourself. There are a lot of them :(
I follow you on your channel. I watched your journey and was struck by how well you fit as a transman. From 12 years ago, as a butch woman, it was obvious that you are gender dysphoric. I am a gay man with the opposite problem. I am not trans but in my mind I have a more feminine way of thinking. But I would never take hormones because I like my body as it is even though I am now 71. Aging is the most difficult time I have ever experienced. I am I think 10 years older than Buck Angel but look much younger than my age. Nature can play cruel tricks on us but so glad we live in a time despite the haters where you can transition. I am however concerned about children. They are rushed into hormones, puberty blockers and surgery too young. You waited quite awhile yet look at how you look. I would never think of you as anything but a man. I also worked in academics as a librarian/online instructor. It sounds like you were adjunct faculty because of your traveling. Good move for you.
Feminine masculine whatever. You have a FEMALE consciousness. Most of these supposed trans ppl are NOT. Real trans ppl that can pass, fit in. Fake ones have pRiDe bc they are brainwashed mostly lesbians, instead of actually living as the opposite sex. Kind of astonished by this guy's complete IGNORANCE of what the hell is going on...... we are STILL .1% of the population. NOT 1%. ONE TENTH. There are currently more trans men than lesbians in the U.S. but hey that is normal right 🤣🤡
Is it just me or is this really hard to hear? I just got a new speaker system so it isn't my end =\ Comes out a bit clearer when I have my headset on at least, but had to turn that way up too!
Congratulations. Have always loved your videos. My best to you. Trans rights are human rights: always and forever. I believe that light always overcomes darkness. I will always believe in the sovereign power of the light.
You shouldn't include Kuk Angel (Buck Angel) in the list IMO, as he's a bad person in many ways. Also the sticker says 'Gender is a construct' not 'Gender is not a construct'.
Congrats on 9 years! I just started T February 2nd of this year and i'm 34. It's a difficult time to be trans, but I have hope we'll get through this.

What did JK specifically say then?

I know its not a big deal but you can always just tattoo your scars to make them lighter.
