Full walkthrough of the PC game "Call of Duty: Black Ops 1" (released in 2010) on the hardest game difficulty (Veteran), Mission 5 - S.O.G. The game was played by me with flawless free flow completion of the missions. All the scenario scenes and dialogues were included in the video, from the intro of the game till the credits at the end, hence the watchers can understand the storyline of the game. Enemy Intel locations are shown in each mission. Highest values in graphic options were selected to produce the maximum from the game. Enjoy watching

*For the ones wondering about Woods attitude towards Hudson:*
*This scenario echoes real sentiments from actual U.S. soldiers towards CIA operatives during Vietnam War:* Woods thought Hudson was just another pencil-pusher bureaucrat who only showed up to the field when the shit was about to hit the fan, double faced bastards which saw the soldiers as expendable resources in order to achieve bigger objectives, thus, in dark contrast with the soldiers like Woods, which personally had to endure every day the harsh reality of a war, not behind a desk, but in the field, a soldier which saw their fellow teammates not as expendable resources, but as valuable brothers in arms.
*However, Hudson was far from being a simple bureaucrat...* as seen later in game, Hudson actually proved to be a pretty capable combatant (He was Korean War veteran), who had enrolled in the CIA as field agent to keep fighting, a former soldier who, as Woods, cared for the lives of the soldiers around him. As you advance more in this level you can notice how Woods attitude towards Hudson subtle changes into a more positive light as he sees by himself that Hudson actually knows how to grab a weapon and put a decent fight.

@@kevinkocher9347 Because Woods never likes Hudson. Notice the end when Bowman appeared Woods immediately did bro handshake with him and both ignored Hudson. Really the only reason Woods even tolerated Hudson is because of Mason.
It made no sense Hudson risked his life saving him in Angola when even the CIA gave up on it, was the only one that didn’t think Mason was a traitor after he went rouge killing Steiner, and sacrificed himself for him and David at the very end. Plus Woods was cool with Alder in Cold War who is also CIA and even shadier and more morally grey than Hudson

This mission is terrible. Your AI partner will walk/push you a LOT into the line of enemy fire. Can't tell you how many times on Veteran I've gotten killed because of that.

This particular stage is a bit hard even on regular mode so either this player is cheating or perhaps they're playing on recruit mode or most likely on regular mode

And you can tell by the way he gets hit, 1 bullet you're hurt (sometimes near death if it's a critical shot ) 2 bullets you're about to die and he would die if he took 3 or 4 good shots for sure. You can literally stand in the open on regular. You don't have to crouch or time your move like on veteran or even hardened. Patience and timing is key in this mission

We wore surplus Viet Nam-era G.I. fatigues and painted our faces. We carried Ka-Bars. We would design in- and exfiltration missions during the week at school. Our greatest (and last) mission was to infiltrate the power generator room of a local medical center. We beat local law enforcement K-9 units and State Police upon exfiltration. It was an unbelievable rush. We would probably be sought as terrorists today. Puberty, man.

The part with the barrels gave me a fucking aneurysm.
Pushing barrels is truly terrible. I can't survive after I push down a single barrel. I think the developer could at least let Mason equipped some smoke grenades.
I fucking played this level on Veteran for 3 DAYS... and spent 2 of them for the part with the barrels... and he fucking completes it in 20 minutes... damn. XD

You gotta take into account this is a video he might've died thousands of times before getting that perfect run. Your not going to see the failed attempts because this is a video and they would've been edited out. Otherwise this video would've been 4 or 5 hours long from the amount of restarts. Just because it's 20 minute video don't assume he found it easy.

The first time I played this, my mind kept going "hold on"...quite a few historical inaccuracies with the equipment here to say the least.
Fully functional M60s, LAWs actually able to do work, the freaking Jeep at the end, M16s with 30-round 20-round mags. Ahhh, good times.
The idea of difficulty Is subjective you might have the skills does not mean others will too. You say it's not that bad???
1: kicking the barrels has a 2 second invincibility Frame and being on veteran which I assume you are means being clipped 2-3 times. Which is enough to kill the player so when the player gets stranded in a 2 second animation with little chance of recovery and get instantly lit up and immediately dies....ITS BULLSHIT! UNFAIR!! which is more the games fault than your own don't strand the player in a 2 second animation like a sitting duck with absolutely no cover and no chance of survival.....where's the challenge in that !? so wether you beat this in an hour or not is meaningless unless the player is prepared to be knee deep in BULLSHIT!!
1: never ending spawns of enemies
2: Two second barrel animation with hundreds of enemies around you with no way to avoid the gunfire
3 shitty checkpoints!!

Well, this mission takes place 4 years after the previous mission. And it also means it's been 4 years since the death of John F Kennedy. It would have been 5 years if it was in November.
Also nice song at the beginning of the mission. It is kinda strange that it plays here and now considering this mission takes place on January 21, 1968, while the Fortunate Son song first came out in 1969. A year after this mission. A small oversight from developers.

This guy made it look so easy, I kept getting lit up after I try to kick my first barrel.
bruh i get fucking 1 shot aim botted by the npcs every time i move and especially in the car part idk what veteran mode this guy got but for me its 10x worse getting hit by stray bullets cross the map and dying 😂

Shit! I was stuck in this mission playing in Hardened! I always got killed during the hill part because the sons of bitches didn't quit coming! That was because I didn't realized that I had to lit a goddam barrel! The only way I was able to go through the level was by easening the difficulty! Full of mine!

That's CoD , advance to checkpoints to drag your buddies with you ( unless the game requires you to follow someone ) ; rinse & repeat . I feel your pain though , hard not to rage . I completely missed the part about using a detonator ...

im confused once lol when i jump on them guns instanly getting shot i have like 1 and a half seconds before i have to flee off the gun or im dead but im on this mission on veteran and its hard as fuck mainly this bomb part i push the bomb and i can't get to cover before they kill me but i will get it with anoth try and error i will get lucky but i feel u are on veteran but so happy i will get a checkpoint before i need to push second bomb its so tough
