    Excellent report, once again. I’m passing your channel on to all my friends so hopefully we can assist you in climbing into the four plus digit sub world. This is the perfect kind of information I need since I’m from the Austin area and primarily fish on Lake Buchanan. I’m getting more into inshore and gulf fishing after a couple of exciting trips over to Venice, La. keep up these informative, helpful vids!

    The aquatic center area looks promising for a shrimp fly. I’m getting pumped up for this summer. My son and I love poling places like that. Thanks for the information

      I can't wait to check out that area this summer! Hopefully I'll have my skiff built and I can pole around that area with my fly rod.

      Check the wind direction and speed when you go out and use that to help determine where to fish. Good luck man!

    Great, informative video. I personally, don't own a kayak. So, either wade fishing or bank/surf fishing would be suitable for me. I see that you said the JFK Causeway, is a good fishing spot. My only worry, is the depths of these waters. I am not a local, therefore....I'm very cautious of the unknown. I think I've casted from the sandy road, and ended up with tons of grass on my fishing gear. And lost quite a bit of tackle too. Any suggestions, or advice on how to fish this area, without a kayak ? Thanks in advance.

    • @SchwindOutdoors

      There is a relatively deep channel that runs along the JFK causeway that is about 200 ft. from the sand. If you can get some kind of cut bait on the bottom of that channel, you could do pretty well. There are some areas where they have cut perpendicular to that channel. In those spots the deep water is even closer to the sand. If you copy and paste these coordinates into google maps, you can see what I'm talking about.

      If you drive to that spot, wade out 50 or 60 feet and throw a bait as far as you can, I think you would do well. Just remember to shuffle your feet because there are stingrays. Hope that helps!

      @@SchwindOutdoors Awesome ! Thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate the coordinates also. Yes, I have practiced the "shuffle", since I started wading the salt waters. I even purchased some stingray rubber boots. I'm hoping they do, what they say they do. Thanks again, buddy. I really like your videos. Keep up the great work !

      @@SchwindOutdoors One more question......What is best time to fish this area ? Early day ? Evening ? Night ? Thanks again. I already put coordinates in Google Maps, and saved. 👍

    • @SchwindOutdoors
      @SchwindOutdoors  3 года назад

      I would say early morning is probably the best time.

    Catching no fish at wilsons on a hot summer day sounds impossible. You were probably fishing the channels. They don't hold much fish in the summer
