Yeah, grocery stores have razor thin margins of around or under 2% on average but some items, especially boxed and canned stuff can have super large margins. I'm assuming the policy targets the manufacturers more than the grocers though. I would like to see the specifics. And, honestly, I'm not that concerned. The US has had the strongest economy in the world for the last half century, so that has nothing to do with the current administration. Groceries are more expensive because of inflation, not because companies suddenly decided to get greedy. Unemployment is down, but people are generally poorer thanks to inflation, and the damage from inflation will never go away regardless of what the current numbers are.
