I have ran with the grave scythe ever since I looted one from the skeletons at any graveyard site. I'm mainly a strength and dex build but whether I try a fast katana or heavy greatsword the dps of the scythe with its built-in bleed and my flame of redmain ashes of war attached just has such a crazy damage output. Coupled with it's reach and critical hits, I'm glued to it
Just switched it up now using frost ashes of war on my +23 Grave scythe duel wielded with the +20 uchigatana bleed build and I am completely destroying everything.
If you’re having trouble farming anything from enemies try crafting a bunch of “silver pickled fowl foot” boosts item discovery which directly effects enemy drop rates
Had the silver scarab talisman on along with the silver fowl foot going and in 50 runs only had two drops and they were human bone shards so they don't help drop rate at all for my game

They increase the discovery stat (equal to like 50 points of Arcane) which modifies all drop rates, but the drop rates in this game are so abysmal to begin with that even if you were to double it you may be going from 1% to 2% or even 0.5% to 1%. I've been trying to get every droppable weapon and the drop rates are a nightmare but its noticeably worse without boosted discovery.
I thought it was worth mentioning you can actually access that grace without entering the castle at all there’s another path down from a broken bridge just before storm veil castle that leads right to it meaning you can obtain the weapon immediately after starting a game
I really hope they have badass legendary scythes like the katanas, I use a strength/ dex build specifically with that hope lol. For now I’m using the “Guts” great sword with the quick step ashes of war set to keen and it’s +2. It’s a silly combo but damn it feels good flah stepping behind enemies and getting that fat damage
yeah i really hope they have at least one legendary for every weapon type … winged scythe is cool but the holy damage ruins it , it’s always something lol
@@er42069 true. it’s alright but the diagonal swings are so dumb .. im using night and flame sword rn until i decide when i wanna two hand a greatsword. night and flame sword has 4-5 shot 3 “great” mini bosses so far .. kinda boring so i’m gonna stop using it soon

It's called the ''Great Horned Headband'' and you can get it from the Siofra River ( You can get to this area by taking the elevator in the Mistwoods in Limgrave ). You'll find in lying around on a small pond, can't miss it !
@@shane7277 Actually now that I think about it, the Helm might have dropped from one of the enemies itself in Siofra, I remember it lying on a small piece of land right after the second grace. Sould you not find it there then the enemies themselves probably drop the helm:)
4 known blood ashes in the game, and none can be used on scythes. Fromsoft needs to stop gimping scythes at every damn turn. They always feel like an afterthought. Freide was the only time they actually put work in on them
Yeah as you explore the world, you'll find different ashes of war and with those you can pick which stat the weapon will scale with. Pretty cool system
Triggering blood loss requires you to be quite agressive with attacking, as the blood loss meter goes down pretty quickly on your enemy. Maybe try playing a bit more agressive, that might be the solution for you:)
@@ZSnoozeZ compared to other status procs on weapons too like frostbite (my cold grave scythe does 50 bleed but like 110 frost buildup lmao), bleed has lower values so it's slower to proc in general w/o hyper-agression or super fast weapons
In theory you can farm them anywhere you like as there are multiple locations with the Scythe wielding skeletons. However, I would still recommend using the farming spot shown in the video due to the grace being nearby. As far as I know, this is the ideal farming spot for the Grave Scythe.
I'm convinced this weapon doesn't exist, been trying for 4 hours, past 3 days. Used 4 my pickled silver fowl feet. Man I'm sad. And I know it exist just hard to get I guess.

If you’re using a controller, you need to press L2 once or multiple times in a row if you want to do a full combo. No idea what you need to press on the keyboard tho:’)
I have 40 strength and only 15 dex.. would it be a waste for me to invest in this weapon? I really like scythes lol.. I guess I could re spec into dex if so
It would still be a decent build with your current spec! However, make sure to start spending your points on dex once you use the scythe as its scaling is both dex and strength reliant
So trash any farm is just annoying tbh it’s like it’s designed to take hours every time just for one weapon… like.. why?? Sometimes I feel like I might as well sit and play with a calculator how ridiculous this game is sometimes

honestly feels like a toss up. in the time you'd spend running around to farm these you may just get the drop.

Tried farming that point for 20 minutes, no drops, moved up the map slightly where the reapers are hanging from the trees, got one straight away

There is also silver scarab talisman. Much better for discovery. Plus it combines with silver foot

For some reason, my scythe doesn't do the blood loss thing. I've been using it ever since I beat Godrick, and I've never noticed a bleed effect.

Bad luck:( you can use Silver Pickled Fowl Feet or level up your arcane stat to increase the chance of making it drop!

Everything except for the helm is the Samurai starter gear, the helm itself is a rare drop from the Siofra River area:)
