I spent 2k and pulled shit wasn’t expecting anything special but at least good card art and players I like but no. Thx panini I miss the old upper deck and fleer days.
Nobody wants the “guaranteed jersey card” that comes with those garbage boxes. They’re literally just thick cards with an unworn piece of cloth in the middle to make you feel like you got something when you got useless junk not worth it’s weight in cardboard. I recommend Epack for hockey cards and marvel cards/comics. All packs are Hobby and you can combine base cards into more rare parallels which you get “achievement cards” for that are amazing and super short print. COMC is sick too, just buy the singles you want unless you’re looking to rip packs. In that case just save the 30$ you were gonna spend on a blaster, save it and buy a hobby box when you can afford it. I wish I knew all those things years ago.
Normally I would agree but, I have bought a box in over a year. Trying to get the credit card paid off. Stopped at target last weekend and got a retail blaster of bowman 2024. Pulled a red refractor of Paul Skenes #2 of 5. But usually retail I stay away from
It’s 2024 and I live in the DFW area, I can confirm the shelves are still like this. It’s basic economics. You either have it more expensive and available or cheaper and competitive. I prefer cheaper and competitive. I liked the rush of waking up and running to Target to see what’s available. Price will eventually go down and then they will be missing from the shelves again
Why would anyone in this economy want any cards at all ? What is going on with dudes over spending on cards of people where they have to wait 20 years just to find out if that player becomes a hof legend player?
It's simple the prices are way too high and panini quality is way down, retail sucks starting all through 2022 and continues to get worse, panini retail sucks, even hobby quality is down
I wish I can see this at my walmart! You are a lucky man! Everytime they restock gone in a few hours. The only time I've seen something like this is small rural areas of towns I've never heard of only becausr of my work do I get to see this and when I do I buy then all!
Cost increase is unfortunate. Increased cost, increased print runs, destroyed the market and the rarity. and decreasing the chances of hitting anything that’s worth the box with no longer giving autos. I remember when all mega boxes gave Autos. Most blasters gave autos and always memorabilia cards. My area does not have any football or basketball products other than Score and Hoops. No Prizm, no optic, no mosaic no illusions, no select, no Donruss. All kinds of chronicles, racing, wwe, ufc. I can’t even get baseball unless it’s trash series 1 or heritage.
Stores in Southern California never look like that even after restock. I bet we are solely keeping Panini and topps in business. The only thing that there’s plenty of his hockey here in Southern California otherwise I’ve never seen a shelf like that in almost four years. You are very, very fortunate Degen. Like+subscriber

My Walmart has started discounting blasters and I love it. They are selling for the old prices. Panini is going out of business as soon as Topps is done being taken over.
Out of curiosity, what brand of cards should I be looking for and buying? Is there a certain type that will give me a better shot at pulling something great? Thx advance
This has to be in a good neighborhood.... how is this not locked up
Seriously, this would be emptied in a matter of hours here in Seattle
Wat brands are the best to get from Walmart, Target, Walgreens ect.?
What’s the best packs to buy for the price ? I like autos and patched but I wanna rip a box open, I know it ain’t financially good but it’s the nostalgia of opening packs I want.
Rarity is king with collectors. All this crap is over printed cardstock. Its the late 80s/early 90s all over again. People will stop buying. Then card production will drop...when rarity comes back into play, collectors will come back. We want that $$$$ too! Profit is the name of the game for us and them.
Panini got greedy 😂
I went to my Walmart yesterday and they had about 20 packs of you-gi-oh and 3 blasters of Prizm draft basketball. And about 4 days ago there were 100+ random boxes. It’s still selling like it’s 2020 in my area. Especially football and 2024 baseball.
My Walmart has literally no cards on the shelves 💀
Wish my walmart looked like this shelves are always empty
Damn wish my Walmart had a wall like this geezus. They don't even have packs at mine lol
If my walmart was like that i would scream of joy😭😂
All the stores near me have ZERO basketball. My city has 3 Walmart stores, 2 Meijer's, and a Target with almost no basketball at all.
They raised the prices to try and cut breakers out. Now nobody wants it.
I don’t
Are they still restocking 23 prizm football?? I haven't seen it in the last couple restocks.
Lucky, all my retail stores have 2 opened boxes on the shelves with 2 cards left
You must live in the fancy area!!!!! Our 2Walmart’s got rid of cards a while back :(
Gated community. 0 shoplifters inside the gates
Where is this at? I'm in New Jersey and although packs are easier to find now versus last year, its still pretty barren.
Consider yourself lucky to have options. Here in the Seattle area, all those shelves get wiped out in a matter of days and there is nothing available to buy. I think half get stolen but still! Lol
That's kinda crazy, because my walmarts are still bare
So what do you think is the best product out right? I bought a 2024 Topps series 1 box 200$ n got garbage😂
Let it go back to pre-COVID! I’ll be waiting to buy some Prizm basketball blasters for 14.99 again 🤣
The over production, a.k.a. new junk, wax era and retail. Pulling a hit is like scratching a lottery ticket.
Lmao my store looks the same. The ONLY thing im there for is topps baseball cards, the other boxes never move
Ive been watching backyard breakers on tiktok and have been wanting to try a few packs or boxes myself. Can someone tell me what brand/box i should aim for as beginner that has atleast a chance to have some good cards? I pass by these in Walmart/target etc alot but always get overwhelmed and dont know what to get
What state in which Walmart is this at? Cause I’m a football card collector
Thats crazy cause the walmart and target near me never have anything
I spent 2k and pulled shit wasn’t expecting anything special but at least good card art and players I like but no. Thx panini I miss the old upper deck and fleer days.
Same here both wal/target loaded with boxes use to have lines every Friday. Now the selfs are overflowing with everything
Our Walmart is wiped clean I keep checking for prizm baseball, and nothing!!! They are so low they virtually don’t have squat
It also depends on the area not every area has buyers . There are thousands of walmarts out there.
Rumors on RUclips are blaming the vendors..looks like the Walmart card vendor has a racket with Select Baseball cards
What do you think the problem is? Also what do you think the public wants to see from these major companies or smaller sport trading companies?
Normally I would agree but, I have bought a box in over a year. Trying to get the credit card paid off. Stopped at target last weekend and got a retail blaster of bowman 2024. Pulled a red refractor of Paul Skenes #2 of 5. But usually retail I stay away from
The next panthers reverse retro needs to be a Miami vice theme! Can’t believe they haven’t done it yet
Wow I don’t even have a box at my stores lol
Why would anyone in this economy want any cards at all ? What is going on with dudes over spending on cards of people where they have to wait 20 years just to find out if that player becomes a hof legend player?
It's simple the prices are way too high and panini quality is way down, retail sucks starting all through 2022 and continues to get worse, panini retail sucks, even hobby quality is down
Be happy you can find any at all. If I wanna buy I need to get over to my local exactly at restock time or all I’m left with is Pokemon.
I live in NJ and most Walmarts and Targets in my area have hardly any stock.
Well it’s nice your Walmart looks like that because mine is always empty 😂
Overpriced boxes, I remember when boxes of card used to be 8 to 12 dollars.
I wish I can see this at my walmart! You are a lucky man! Everytime they restock gone in a few hours. The only time I've seen something like this is small rural areas of towns I've never heard of only becausr of my work do I get to see this and when I do I buy then all!
These will start to move once they hit clearance like back in the good old days lol 😅
“Nobody want’s it” 😂
Junk wax, junk slabs, junk modern everything now. VINTAGE!
I wish my Walmart would have that much...
What state is this though I never see shelves like this in Michigan
The regular Topps is a way better deal in my area they sell out crazy fast
That’s weird , in my town they’re like all sold out except for new basketball cards , football sells out the first day or two
The real problem is most of those boxes don’t have $100+ hit in them and people who want to resell don’t even touch those boxes so the my can’t scalp them
I sold a lot of Valuable 8O era big home runner hitter cards for like less than 100$ 29 years ago every Ken Griffey rookie every Barry Bonds rookie, Mark McGuire 84 USA edition rookie card and many more I had a whole small chest of nothing but the greats if the early to late 80s cards for nothing. One of the worst mistakes of my life😢
I just got into this hobby...I hit on Downtown cj stroud card .. purchased a Box from Walmart ,shelf was empty and very few boxes ... I kinda regret selling it but I needed money ... Im still tryna figure out the climate of this hobby like what boxes or packs I should this video and comments are helping me tho
I gave up on retail packs , rather buy singles of some cool cards
