He wasn't praying mate he was doing a sort of submission which is done in islamic prayer. Alot of muslim athletes tend to to do this submissive to show their devotion to god when they achieve something good. It's seen alot in cricket aswell.

Edit:u should bring back volta pens and stop doing the wc cuz ea programmed it and now the players don't think that it's a normal penalty they know to shoot on target+they were more chaotic and fun then simulating matches
