Such great texture,,, even your 'mistakes' turn out wonderful. The light gray/blue glaze over the orange gives a cool, hazy atmospheric effect. :)

I used to paint like this some years back but just threw them away after holding on to them for some time as I thought people were not ready for this type of art. How wrong was I!! It is beautiful, Gerda! Reminds me of some parts of Arizona (a southwestern state in the US). I used to live there, and many times parts of the desert would turn those colors at dusk. Your painting even shows the "tops of flat rocks" in the background. :)

Have you ever mailed your thick cracked pain tings rolled in a tube to a buyer? Does it effect the painting at all? Does it arrive nice and intact? I have buyers and am afraid to do this with my thick paint paintings
I do not send painting with thick layers of paint on paper rolled, I put it between two matching cardboards and wrap it several times in paper.

Liebe Gerda Lipski. Meine Versuche viel Tiefe zu erzeugen beginne ich neuerdings immer mit einer dunklen Farbe als Untergrund. Mir gefallen die diversen Techniken übereinander sehr, Zumal Du wieder meine Lieblingsmethoden angewandt hast. Das verteilen der Farben mit Spachtel und Wischer finde ich extrem effektiv. Danke dir für deine motivierenden Anregungen.Gruß
Guten Morgen. Vielen Dank für die tollen Videos. Eine Frage hätte ich. Wie rahmt man am besten den Zeichenkarton ? Hinter Glas wie ein Aquarell ? Ich habe ein Malkarton mit viel Struktur gemalt, da funktioniert es mit Glas nicht. Vielen Dank im voraus. Und ich hoffe auf noch ganz viele Videos von ihnen.

Man kann den Karton mit Acryl Malgel transparent auf ein Holz aufziehen und dann in einen Rahmen ohne Glas

Yes, You can fix it tightly with adhesive tape. Then it goes smoothly. Or you put it overnight under a board, which you weigh down with thick books.

No, titanium white, but I apply it very thinly

Beautiful work. You started losing me a little when you put a white "glaze" over the bottom of the painting. I can see how it gives distance near the horizon. I would have thought that you would want to maintain all of the vibrance in the foreground. Anyway, Bravo. I am headed to the store for a squeegee right now,
