We need to have a public debate amongst the political parties and candidates as a mandatory rule. During that hour they should be asked to take questions from the public.
The candidates comes to a certain place makes his usual speech, hand out some money to youth camps and his party workers. Then he leaves. It's frustrating that we never get to ask them any questions.
I have been to my village areas, kohima and dimapur listening to what these candidates have to say. It's so obivious that they are robots. They hardly go off the script and they hardly say anything to undermind their party wokers and donors.
The biggest problem are not the politicains but party workers, lobbies, families and groups with vested interest and people who boast around just because he is evil enough to defranchise all his families votes and sell it to any candidates he likes. These people are making out state sick. They have no job but to follow candidates, join political parties and make a never ending mess. Politicians needs these corrupt people to win election and once they win they become a living prisoners to these people and groups. These people should be jailed. They have no affection or care for anyone but to make money machines for themselves. All they ever do is make politicains their prisoners and get rich at the expense of everyone. If these people sell your votes i say lodge and FIR OR we might have a contest of networths amongst the candidates and their lobbies and spare democratic process of election. The one with the highest networth gets the office. Sad but that's how it has ever been.

Sentinaro Ao you should never vote that's what I strongly believe coz whoever comes he or she gonna do the same thing matter how people feel abt that politicians... People should never vote just stay in home enjoy celebrate

If one is so sad about the state of politics in his/her state then the best part is form a political outfit of your own.
