Sadly, even for locals, a lot of these tailors and repair shops can't deliver on the schedules they've given. You either tell them you'll wait for it for them to do it on the spot or you'll just find another shop.
I am loving all your social media posts as I can vicariously see the Philippines through your vlogs and several posts!!! Salamat, maraming!!! Last time I was there was with my family in 2007. Haven’t been back since. I would love to go and bring my sister, who, by the way, is very new to the language compared me. She hasn’t been in the Philippines since the age of three! So, an adventure as adults is on our bucket list in the future.
Kurt. Here’s a tip. Try and keep your electronics cools. The heat in the Philippines will make your devices work harder and the batteries to run out quicker. I was over there a few weeks ago and my devices were draining so quick. Keep them out of the sun if you can.
Tapsihan - place that sells tapas or tapsilog, but often have all kinds of silog. silog - singangag (fried rice) and egg (itlog). We gotta get you to try more silogs... i think i've seen you eat hotdogs and rice more than a few times already on this trip. haha Also Pares literally means pair so most Pares places have a pairing of rice, braised beef stew and a beef broth soup. Forgive me if you knew all this already, but you inspire me to get better at tagalog so I hope to help you in your continued journey as well.
Ay ganun! That's all news to me! When I lived in Northern Louisiana as a missionary we weren't able to eat at them at all so I'm so new to everything ❤️❤️❤️
@@tagalogkurtyessir. Next time try tapsilog or tocilog if at another silog place. I’d also love to see a video of you trying more dishes at a local carinderia and speaking tagalog describing each of the new foods you are tasting hehe
Kurt, you can try to stay provinces like Dumaguete, Baguo, Cordelera, Ilo-ilo,Davao city, Or any beaches like el-nido,boracay,siargao, palawan, Batangas.
I'm sure you've seen the street/sidewalk clearings that is currently going on in the Philippines. You can see many videos of it on youtube. Unfortunately, this is necessary for the safety of the walking public as you present here. People are forced to walk on the streets on busy avenues only a few inches from from speeding cars+tricycles+big trucks because the sidewalks have been taken over by vendors overspilling their stores onto them. More importantly, there are little kids/students who walk to school and they are in danger if being hit by a car/trike/truck because they cannot walk on the sidewalks.
You are better off getting the new laptop or even a used one from a year or two old. 7 years is too long in the tooth, the speed benefits alone from m series chips is well worth it.
Adorable how people always tell you to come back to them. Like these men with no shirts and the lady who did your laundry. And that dude who sold you the bangus. And ate jack jack at bets tapsihan!
Maybe next time... When you get something to be repaired, better ask for a contact number that you can call before you pick up the repaired item.. Just to ensure they have it all ready and you avoid wasting time going there for nothing.
im just wondering since you have been walking around the streets , you did not have any experience of your camera being snatched? hehe maybe the bad guys are afraid of you cuz you are big hehe. Pls Enjoy your stay.
Just subscribed 👍🏼 for laptop support 🤣😬 j/k for channel support. I appreciate you learning our language & immersing yourself in our culture. Thank you🙋🏻♀️from🇺🇸 Oh & it’s Carinderia not calenderia
if the port was only the problem, a trusted and skilled repair guy could just replace that only port with just the price of the port and labor and its very cheap probably just P500. its really expensive if they say would replace whole logic board and better buy new laptop, thats style of some opportunistic or repair scammers in the ph specially to foreigner like u. i know bcos i can do repair laptops specialy with just easy port replacement and it would only cost very little just the labor probably and cost of port about P100. just be careful next time kuya kurt should have ask first filipino friends about trusted laptop repair shops that wouldnt scam you in prices
You are so kind, always leaving a tip for the people! I guess sanay kalang sa America where you tip people pero doing that in our country is rare.
Oo nga it's out of control sa States lol
Sadly, even for locals, a lot of these tailors and repair shops can't deliver on the schedules they've given. You either tell them you'll wait for it for them to do it on the spot or you'll just find another shop.

Hello Mr. Kurt:
Change in Tagalog, sukli, keep the sukli, keep the change, sayo na yung sukli ....
Thank you Sir and GOD Bless!!!
I keep getting them mixed up 😂🙈
@@tagalogkurtYou should stop giving those big, keep the change tips so you'll have enough money to buy a new laptop or at least a new hat.
@@tagalogkurthe’s right! but I can understand the confusion because barya and sukli both mean change. Barya is kind of more like coins or small bills.
@tagalog kurt thank you for touring my old street in Pitogo. loving your vlogs
Better buy a new one in the States, Kurt. So you already have a new one! Congrats🎉 on the new big purchase. 😊👍 Guessing you're in the US now. 🇺🇸
