- Michelle Spight lost loved ones on both sides of her family on May 14, 2022. Her aunt, Pearl Young, and her cousin, Margus Morrison, were both at Tops on Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo when a gunman open fire, killing both of them and eight others. On February 15, 2023, Payton Gendron was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
What a powerful statement these family members have made. May God continue to hold them.

He will be haunted day and night and by his conviction. He will be 70 and still be in prison - unless other inmates "do a Dahmer" on him. At some point Peyton will realize that being an inmate in prison sucks, but he will never get out. He will be haunted for the rest of his life by his crimes. He may not have remorse now, but he will eventually.
I see the hope in your message; however, he will never realize. His heart is harden and there are "his kind" in prison and will continue to ensure him he did nothing wrong.
This man has no soul. Those words are bouncing off his empty conscience.

This made me cry, being a critical care nurse…I have seen death, crying, and experienced crying while in the job. I have been with families crying over their loved one…and this statement literally had me in tears. I have cried behind closed doors so many times over this country having the worst gun violence more than any other parts of the world

Philippians 4 : 8 is a verse that I love to quote it helps to keep my heart pure and I always use it to try and teach selfish people, wives, husbands,children and every one who likes to judge others and only see their story and journey in life as important but not others, people who always wrongfully accusing others, who sees impure things in others that don,t exist, As a christian I always have to be using this verse to correct my brothers and sisters in Christ who is always wrongfully judging others also

Dying is the easy way out, living the rest of his life that is the hell of the American prison system is more suffering
Most of the victims families said that because they want him to live with what he’s done for the rest of his life. Killing him would just be taking the easy way out and cause him not to deal with the consequences of his actions
For many, living in Hell is a better healing mechanism than dying. A long life of HELL before actual hell is very important for some.
