Great set of cheap speakers, had them for about 6 months now. One thing I hate, a lot of manufactures do this... hardwire both speakers together on the one cable.
I got these after watching this review, I was thinking about grabbing them and this convinced me. I definitely recommend them especially given their price. I do like them a lot, but I will say, the subwoofer is a must. For $40 though you can't really go wrong. The speakers without the sub are fine if you are using the PC for office or work related tasks (that aren't AV related) and don't watch youtube on it or anything like that - for system level alert sounds, etc. Maybe even voice only video, but not music or Netflix. Smaller speakers usually have a hollow sound because they aren't bassy, which is true for these without the sub. The laptop sound was hollow and the speakers without the sub were hollow as well, just louder. But the sub gives it a more "real" feeling and less acoustic - they sound like bigger speakers. TL;DR: 👍🏻 but get the sub, probably
The 2.1 speakers are not comparable to the V2/V3 (2.0) speakers. The latter are built differently to accommodate the lack of a subwoofer. Just mentioning so there's no confusion.
I don't understand the idea of measuring speaker quality by decibels or bass distortion. sound quality should be measured in clarity and sharpness. so that there are no croaking sounds. I would like to buy them and I hope they sound good but not too loud.
Would these sound better than a Fender Mustang GT40 (40w) guitar amp? I use one as my pc speakers, but it has no sub and crackles occasionally. I know the amp costs 6x+ the cost of these, but I'm not using it for it's intended purpose with the PC. It has dual 6.5" drivers.
Why are you testing the speakers at maximum volume? LOL. Of course ANY speaker will sound terrible with the volume at max. Sound test was extremely poor and trash.
The power from usb port (2.5 Watts) isn't enough to feed this subwoofer together with stereo speakers, you could hear when the volume decreases at low-frequency signal.
Agreed, especially if a person restricts themselves to the usb port for power on a laptop or a computer (1000ma or 1 amp of power). I wish he would have compared using the computer powered usb port vs the power port of the surge protector directly with the spl meter(it claims 2.4 amps but can the speakers make use of it?).
Hai, Geek Street Can you please tell which is the best ? Creative Pebble V2 or Pebble Plus 2.1 Only compare with this two About loudness / bass and treble and whats the advantages of subwoofer attachments in Pebble plus 2.1 ?
Yes 2.1 plus has the subwoofer and afaik the 2.0 is speakers only. Based on what you wrote you probably want the 2.1, they'll sound like normal speakers with a clean sound, no sub will be a more hollow/acoustic sound

yeah the z313 is alot better, the subwoofer box is a higher quality/heavier also bass driver is better, also the power supply is alot better Difference between the z313 and the creative is that the z313 is made for indoor use only so it has more weight to it plus better higher wattage power supply and speakers. For indoor use, and no traveling the z313 clearly wins, but for traveling and outdoor use creative is the winner
Shes not lying. The music choice was kinda of sketchy. It makes the speakers sound distorted. Aint hating on ur taste, but something melodic prolly would've hit the mark a bit better. Just my 2 cents for whatever it's worth (less than 2 cents lol).
Honestly speaking they are ok for budget speakers nothing amazing....these ones have much better sound quality ruclips.net/video/UDpAbwm-E50/видео.html
