I swear I'll be uploading Sonic Superstars and Side Order soon. I'm just wanting to get a bit more done in terms of videos before I begin uploading again so it's plenty of content to put up for a bit. I'm aiming for January the earliest, but we'll see how my motivation works for me while working on stuff. I do wanna also do more scripted videos, but I'll work on those after everything else is done first.
I was really disappointed when I found out that losing QTE in Shadow Generation doesn't cause Shadow to blow up into ashes or slam his face into a wall.
That's why I didn't include those, since the main point of this video was to just compare the QTE's to Sonic Forces and Sonic Frontiers, but then Shadow Generations released so I felt like including it here. I haven't checked back since it's been a while since I've played Unleashed, but I only remember cinematic QTE's happening during the Dark Gaia Pheonix boss and Perfect Dark Gaia. Also if I was going to include Sonic Unleashed it means I'd have to plug in my PS3 and use an HDMI splitter (which is a mess for me) and honestly I was lazy and didn't feel like booting it up LMAO.
@daviethehedgehog6317 I comment fin on videos I finished to know if I've watched it before. The time stamp is just for RUclips to less likely filter it
Honestly I wish they would just get rid of them. At least in stages. They're a pace breaker. I like Shadow generations a lot but honestly the in-stage cutscenes and qte's really are a drag. It's one of the reasons Kingdom valley and chaos island are some of my favorite stages, because nothing stops me.
I can see the argument for having them be removed. It's why I like that the QTE's are saved for bosses and the only stages they're in are Space Colony Ark Act 1 and Tokyo. From what I've heard, the only reason the mid-level cutscenes exist (at least for going to the Radical Highway dimension) is because of the Switch since it loads in the stages slower than other consoles, so it's a good compromise. If you have the game on PC there's a mod that gets rid of every mid-level cutscene and allows you to choose which ones are disabled.
I think having QTEs similar to Unleashed or Generations would be a fine compromise. They focus on reaction and reward it properly without being a pace breaker or being completely pointless.
Yeah, it sucks they didn't think of adding in a fail animation for it. I was hoping they'd add in fail animations in the DLC update but it probably wasn't a priority for them. Mostly because I think most of the budget was spent on Keanu's voice work and the animation of the cutscenes.
I don’t think it’s a matter of unleashed being as cinematic as the last three but personally I would categorize forces frontiers and shadow gems as A separate series from unleashed colors and generations

Hes the ultimate life form he can do it WITHOUT your help
@@مشفارس those are forces sequels you see
Failing the End QTE will forever be the funniest thing in this franchise.
There’s also some quick time events in sonic unleashed, however, it’s not nearly as cinematic, but the button prompts are typically randomized

Remember when generations had the trick system as a replacement for qte's?....what happened to that?

Sadly, the movie dlc in Shadow Gens is no different. Automatic win regardless of if you do anything
