This one cracked me up and just had to share it! I just bought a 2017 Coachman 17FB which is perfect for me as a solo camper and only 5'8". My 6'4" nosy neighbor came over to check it out and he looked like one of the many clowns in the clown car. :) He could not fit in the shower, was hitting his head on the A/C, bead was to short. :) As they always say there's no perfect camper for everyone.
That was hilarious, thank you so much. I needed a laugh today. I sold my 1971 Shasta Compact in March, and just bought a 1971 Shasta LoFlyte that I’ll be picking up at the end of the month.
You may check the serial number. Scottys started in late 50's. Should be the first two numbers in the serial # on the drivers side tongue. Good luck on your build
Build your own and you can alleviate all those. I got a tandem axle Shasta Astroflyte I designed on sketchpad I plan to pull behind my 58 Delray. With bathroom and full rear bed. I widened it to modern camper width and raised the ceiling height.
I am 6' 7" tall and I weigh 350 pounds, I am about to restore a 32 foot Holiday Rambler and I have plenty of room. BUT there is NO WAY I would camp in a camper as small as the one on your video.
That guy is HUGE, LOL. He reminds me of my son. I'm happy being only 5'10". I'm currently remodeling a 1986 slide in truck camper. Almost done. It's tight though, even for 5'10", but not bad. At least my head doesn't hit the ceiling, LOL.....
My gramps used to have one of those 3 axle behemoths that had a full sized bathroom, large kitchen and bedroom, sliding glass door as well as a regular door, and some additional spaces. We used to like to play in it. He would get mad. 😜
lol, I am 5'6" and I don't have that problem. that being said some of the rv nerds point out head height and I don't have to wary about that part as much.
Very good advice. Another reason is the 10-year rule that more and more RV parks are implementing. If you're buying for a backyard bunkie, guest bunkie, or you have a private lot or seasonal lot that permits it then you're good to go, but if you're planning on road trips and stopping at RV parks along the way check with the park rules first.
@@RobTheRebuilder You are going to be hero for a few months. I just found my guest suite. I think it is in pretty good shape, no clue what year. It is a Detroiter and that is about all I know…Searching is making me crazier than I already was🤪

just found your channel , have you ever rebuilt a 1960's "ROLITE"?
I have not. Are you working on one?

No problems for me as well. Thanks for watching.
Oh my God that's hilarious. Best part is I'm the same size as he is. 6'4 , 279# but I still love my 1954 mallard. All great pointers though!😂
Thanks. A little humor is always good.

I think Rob referring to himself as "normal" is quite debatable..... 😊

That's a big dude. Lol!!😂😅
Big guy...Small trailer
I saw a restored 1955 Aloha today in Pensacola Beach, FL. Only saw the exterior, but it was sharp.
Aloha is a great trailer.
Too small, says the guy the size of a bear.🤪
Exactly!
You can solve half the problems by eating less and taking a few walks.
Or buy a bigger camper
Ya and that guy shouldn't buy a Prius either.
Nobody should buy a Prius
normal person, not a GIGANTIC FREAK
Not anymore.
Normal?
"ish"
I am larger than the average person, so I would say I am not a “normal” size.
Abnormal suits you.
Maybe big boy needs a big boy camper.....
Thats a big idea!
😂 wont work for me either
I understand

I like the parks that like vintage campers.
We've never had a problem EVER ANYWHERE
Toooo Funny!
