What’s that, 50 decisions? Dirty blocking and carrying on like a 2 year old, screaming and kicking the glass? This is just a poor example of how the game should be played. It was only the longest match because the referees were probably fighting to not give conduct strokes and games away. This match just makes me feel bad
What an incredible match! 😍Amazing talent shown on both sides! Comments below complaining about Gohar are out of order. She maintained pure focus throughout, (spoiler alert) coming back to win the 2nd after getting a racket in her face. She lost it a bit at match point, but some of the VR decisions against her were very poor. The second Yes-let at match point was a Stroke all day to Gohar!
El Sherbini is very professional when she wins and losers great athlete to emulate! These two Egyptian women are somewhat lacking the class of El Sherbini! I get you won’t always like your opponents? Watching these two play each other is never an enjoyable experience 😮 El Sherbini Sophy King and all the others display better qualities expected from professional sportswomen?
Well, a great match but, if this was Asal, everyone would be calling it as cheating as Gohar keeps moving towards Hammamy many, many times and should really have had several conduct strokes towards the end. Kicking the door and running out of the door is poor conduct. She's supposed to be a Professional.
100% correct - because gohar was attempting to cheat, causing conflict and obstructing her opponent. I don't know why the ref's didn't exercise more discipline
I love watching squash but this was a horrible match. I dislike watching talented players like Asal and Gohar act like spoiled children instead of professional athletes. More conduct strokes might help remind them of the importance of professional sportsmanlike behaviour.
Rubbish. Gohar maintained perfect composure in the last half of the 5th when almost every decision went against her. It was Hammamy demanding strokes but arguing calls that went Gohar's way.
So when Hammay stops Gohar and falls over, stroke against Gohar, when Hammamy barges Gohar, Gohar doesn't fall over, again stroike againstr Gohar. Ref and commentators seem biased.
Players like Asal and Gohar who don't let their opponent play the ball only get encouraged by the crowd over there...
Those two seem to share a mutual loathing for each other.
merry christmas!!

It needed the conduct game against Gohar for her movement. It was all deliberate blocking.
gohar pulling off mini asals constantly
Poor John. He does great, but I could never handle that much pressure from these 2 rivals.

exactly what i was going to say the level of play is directly linked to their hatred of each other and one up man ship, but makes for a damn good game
Upwomanship.
02:14:27 that was clearly a mishit by Hammamy and should have been a Stroke to Gohar
Definitely
I don't see Hammamy constantly running into other opponents....
Longest women's match ever and it had power plays! It might have been even longer if it hadn't. Still torn over whether I like them or not.
This where you cheer your opponents mistake and throw ur racket and scream when u win is not the humble game that squash used to be.

some weird calls. that last point looks more like a stroke than a no let to me.
You would normally be right, but the shot was too good, went right into the nick.

Gohar worse blocking than Asal tbh
The Terminator isn't the true terminator; instead, she's a dirty player. Shame on her.
This was horrid choice of a match. Gohar’s behaviour was terrible.

This is the match that made me dislike gohar and completely stop supporting her. Amazing match length but she should be so damn embarrassed by this
These 2 players don’t like each other but the refereeing of this match was atrocious. Indecisive at best
powerplays just ruin the whole game
Appalling!
the women's game is starting to stink
How many times does Gohar have to win. So biased towards Hammamy...
