- Finaaally I finished this comic :3
I know I should have worked on the "After all" Animation but I wanted to draw this comic for a long time now.
It`s a bit of a theory of the Diamonds, just a little fantheory nothing more so don`t take it too seriously pls :x
I hope you like it, I`m sorry for the bad quality I tried my best but youtube seems to have a problem with my video x_x

CHILD! PINK ISN’T DEFECTIVE!!!!!! She was made like that on PURPOSE! She is just Homeworlds definition of defective because she was different! And anything different on homeworld is considered bad for them! And white wanted a new pathway to help out with that problem so she made pink different because gems look up to their diamond! And if a DIAMOND is DIFFERENT then there should be no reason to discriminate other different gems! Right?!
Pink's face looks so soft and sweet! White is so calm and doesn't lash out over things like yellow does.

Also, SeniLoko, could you make a comic about Pink finding out she's off colour please? Perhaps in the same universe as this one? I know it's not my place to make requests but that comic would just be... so... powerful.

Pink Strawberry Quartz 9xg Although I respect your opinion, my previous comment was referring to scientifically, where in general, only a diamond (or stronger, which there really isn't a lot of) can scratch or break another diamond. One could say it's "rock theory". Also, if Pink was weak, then she wouldn't be a Diamond -- she would be adulterated. Which could make sense.
Speaking of pressure i just realized something, in real life Pink Diamonds are thought to gain their color from being subjected to so much pressure, much more than a normal diamond, that they lose their structure. Amethyst says her problem is the same, she stayed in the ground too long and is now short. Pressure.
Maybe Rose made her realize something that made her do it and that’s why pink would shatter herself
I really hope that White is this balanced and wise in the show when we finally see her.
Nothing is more exciting than an antagonist who's motives are as valid as the main characters'.
I really hope that shes not this cruel, cold, one dimensional character and overall hope that she nor none of the other diamonds shattered pink!

I think there's a possibility for that, but I can't help but feel like they wouldn't go down that route because it's a kids' show and maybe that concept is a bit TOO dark maybe?

ok, loved it, it was great, but i just hate how everyone portrays yellow diamond as so mean to pink. like, yellow diamond might have lost her temper quite a few times but she didnt hate pink, she really missed her and wanted her back, but she knew she couldnt have her back. yellow is strict and cold but she probably held back just a little with pink, you know, she would only lose her temper when pink REALLY messed up or did something she REALLY wasn't supposed to do. i just want more people to notice that. yellow truly cared for pink and would never call her a mistake (at least not to her face)

Actually in this case I think Yellow couldn't help herself as a temperamental person I can tell you the more we bite our tounge with other people the more likely we are to snap at little things and when we snap we will say and do the most horrible things that can't be taken back
The part about Yellow missing Pink is in the song Whats the use of feeling, Blue. That was a beautiful song.
Samantha DeGroot I genuinely don’t think Yellow would even think of Pink as a mistake, I mean Yellow herself told Steven that Pink always knew how to make her laugh which means they had a good relationship or a decent one. Yellow prolly just wanted what was best for her as you can only see what White did to those that didn’t fit in her perfect image, they all cared for her in their own ways and Yellow did eventually give in in giving Pink her own colony so maybe Yellow had a small soft spot for her not as big a soft spot as she has for Blue or as huge a soft spot as Blue had for Pink but maybe a tiny one. Though of course that doesn’t mean she’s excused from all the abuse she, Blue, and White inflicted upon Pink though.
Dj Garcia ikr her coping with Pink’s ‘death’ is forgetting Pink entirely (not to the point where she wants to completely forget her sister but to the point where doesn’t want to be reminded of her all the time) thus her trying to get rid of everything that reminds her of Pink (trying to convince Blue to shatter the Rose Quartz’s, or get destroy Earth with the Cluster, she doesn’t want to remember the place where Pink was killed or the people that look like her Murderer.

It makes sense. Beacues she a life so there for she can't be like the other diamonds because there not a life there only rocks not a life like her. It's the same thing in a way what rose did with Steven.

Actually it does make sense.
Pink Diamond's being made not perfect by White Diamond has caused that not perfectness to spread among other Gems that have come in contact with Pink Diamond and her as Rose.
The Gems have evolved into more of a true life form through being in contact with Pink Diamond/Rose than they would've become if White Diamond had not created Pink Diamond that way.

In a way, she’s kinda like in the same boat as Steven. Yellow is pearl, sometimes distant but trying to make Steven/pink but with pink yellow is more stern. Blue is amethyst, really depressed over everything that has happened, but amethyst shows more emotion, and white is garnet, who tries to hide her emotions to be the strong leader everyone wants her to be.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Diamond family dynamic is meant to reflect Steven and the Crystal Gems' family dynamic.
Lucas Martinez makes sense. We still have yet to white Diamond who is mysterious (garnet.) Yellow at first wa shown to hate pink, but we learn she's actually deeply depressed, and blames shelf for her death (pear) blue is always being depressing, but she's relatable so we cool ( amethyst ) and pink, who at first was a child, but grew up into the semi mature teen we all know and love (steven
Lucas Martinez and Rebecca's personality too. (The cristal gems have Rebecca's personality traits to her brother Steven suger.....so yeah)

Great comic, I'm sure you're going to get this a lot, but how far along is that After All animatic? Have an estimate of when it might be complete? Likely the best one I've seen, and I'd be more than happy to see the final product in the near future.

Oh my goodness - I admit this was a lot better than I expected it to be; for some reason I wasn't expecting that to hit me as hard as it did! (Not meant to be anything against you specifically - just a lot of Steven universe fan content I've seen recently hasn't been as in-depth or hard-hitting as this.) The ending is amazing, whether or not it's actually canon-compliant. It says a ton about Gems and Gem society, and it's a really fascinating take on White Diamond, that being older than Blue and Yellow she can see beyond the current state of the Gem empire and see that the Gems as they are now (and were then) were missing something crucial. The idea that she, the epitome of Homeworld and Gem society, the ideal Gem, could conceive of that thought and then a plan to change and fix it and thus strengthen the Gem race as a whole is really interesting! I've seen a lot of takes on White Diamond, but I don't think I've ever seen one quite like your interpretation, and it's a really intriguing idea that I may have to play with on my own time. The moral, the last line - "Real life isn't perfect" - that hit me /so/ hard you wouldn't believe. Gem society is all about perfection and fitting in, but real life, organic life, doesn't work like that - something always has to give. Ahhhhhhhhhhh, I love this so much! Thank you!

I don't agree with this, I'm sorry but its clear in the steven universe series that yellow and blue cared for pink diamond. She was made wrong but in the song "feeling blue" Yellow clearly states that she misses her, she is hurting too. They also say things like "my child" or "you're acting childish" children and parents do not existence on homeworld, they would say she is acting silly or stupid.
They can and will use those word because they made English or spoke it way before human beings started
