- Hey Girl Gang! WOW! I am SO excited that I finally am putting this vlog up!! Let this be noted to all of my new subscribers that this vlog footage was taken at the beginning of February 2020. :) Welcome to my Semester at Sea In-Port Vlog for Vietnam (part one!). Because of the "pneumonia outbreak" (aka what we know now as the Coronavirus) in China, we got to spend 11 days in Vietnam on the Spring 2020 Voyage of Semester at Sea. Little did we know what a blessing in disguise that would be! I feel like I got to see SO much of Vietnam, yet I still would love to back and explore more! We had a nice balance between cultural learning, exploring on our own, and having fun - it truly was a great balance and I still feel so blessed to have had this friend group with such similar interests in what we wanted to do & where we wanted to go (by the way, I miss them more than I can tell you & cried MANY times editing and watching this video). With all of that being said, I hope that this long-anticipated Vietnam In-Port Vlog was worth the wait! Let me know what y'all think in the comments down below! I love you guys so much & thank you for being so patient with me about getting the rest of these Semester at Sea Vlogs up - it was TRULY the BEST two and a half months of my life. I can't wait to continue sharing these memories with you!

this makes me want to travel around asia so badly! i know most people want to travel to europe but i find the different asian cultures so fascinating. i've only been to the philippines to visit my family there and it feels like a totally different world than the States. I hope one day I can explore around the world like you were blessed to :)

Aw Gracie, this is probably my favorite vlog you’ve done! Such a good job! As a two time graduate of UA, who studied abroad twice, I know how much this experience changed you. I hate covid robbed your classmates and you of even more experiences. I just wanted to tell you that my study abroad changed me so much and in a weird way led me to my husband. Now here i am in my mid 30s, pregnant with my first child and watching your vids. Keep your yearning for travel and don’t worry this time will pass! We’ll all get through this. It seems rough right now but remember there were better times behind us and there are better times ahead. Your vlog did a great job of reminding me of that!

So fun!!! Ive been to Vietnam a couple times and never got to enjoy it coz always stuck in the office. But def a beautiful city with deep culture! Come to Taiwan one day and you can light a super big lantern here and customize it❣️

this was filmed months ago, prior to covid being as big as it is now. this is probably from jan, feb, or very very early march.
Hi! Actually, we were wearing masks in the airport (when we weren't eating) & they made us take them off to check our passports & boarding IDs when we boarded & we put them back on when we sat down! Since it wasn't a huge deal at the time to wear masks, we took them off whenever I was vlogging in the airport! But that's the only place we wore masks in Vietnam!
