Editing video footage that was shot over several hours or days into a single event is one of the things that makes your channel so exceptional. Sometimes that means having continuity issues like white equipment in the background turning yellow or things like that. These are the easter eggs that keep us coming back, Thanks for taking time to be a great storyteller. 🦃
Brutus is hilarious. He would notice a plastic bag blowing across the pasture 300 yards away but didn't realize he was about to get smacked by an 8 ft piece of roofing.
Brutus is so cute playing with the steers LOL. Brutus is a "GENTLE GIANT"!!! So proud of you Al and Gina for all that you did for this cattle chute and it ALL looks so awesome. Here comes the chow kids go for it.
PLEASE, please don’t have your main working area between the chute and the fence! If a cow tips the chute you will have no escape route and you will be crushed. More farmers die from accidents involving cattle than any other cause. To mitigate the risk, get the chute bolted down to the concrete or at least chain it to your upright posts. You might end up needing some rebuilding, but it would give you time to escape.
I missed that when I watched the first time, I saw the white arm of the bob-cat at the first of the video and totally missed the NEW KATO setting there at the end !
The squeeze chute fits perfectly into that space! I know you're glad that's done. Whoever filmed the cattle eating toward the end did a great job AND... Gina figured out the lights. Looks great.

Good Morning! That lower Dutch door is so the cow can't kick the vet when they go in to feel the calf's position. Horses can only kick backwards. Cows can kick in any direction.
Just wondering if it would be more efficient turning the cattle device around so you are on the outside (more room) and the red handles that open and close are under the higher roof line.

Tight fit & great use of leftover tin, loving solar fence post lights, WTG Gina on finding switch. You guys have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, God Bless.
I understand that the cost of tin has gone up enough to begin to hurt. If you can remember what the tin cost when you bought it, cost compare it to new tin in a compertible color. For a quiet moment lark, use that spread sheet software to come up with a cost difference of the entire roof. - Even so, you saved the old tin and had it hanging around the homestead for a project "someday". If you save too, too much "good stuff" you can begin to look more like a salvage yard.
Love love love your show! I was just thinking about future projects that you might consider. Speaking from an 82-year-old woman I believe your next project should be adding a bedroom on the bottom floor of your home while you’re young and have the strength.
