I'm in Italy! There have been a couple of reactions to TOP vids that I couldn't watch because of where I am, but I'm able to watch this one. I love how he does this song!
I would love to hear you react to Tyler Joseph live in Brooklyn story teller session. He deconstructs and mixes 5 songs on the fly sitting at a piano, synth, shure mic and an akai beat maker. It is quite something amazing to see. Josh isn’t in this one.
In this video, his wife is actually pregnant and they announced it later at the show (lollapalooza berlin). tyler does make the instrumentals for their songs, but on their newest album Trench, Mutemath’s paul meany co-produced, while josh mainly comes up with the drum lines. also, do you plan on reacting to the last song on glory sound prep? it’s a masterpiece of a song :)
Tyler does make all their beats - he does it usually in his basement in Columbus - obviously something like this is done on the road, but the majority of their music is from his house - Josh does have some input, but Tyler is the lead...Tyler also writes all their lyrics i'm pretty sure you can find this version on the streaming platforms
They re-imagined three songs from Trench, this being the last one they did, and called them location sessions. First one was for the song Chlorine in Mexico City, then Cut My Lip in Brooklyn, NY, then this one in Berlin. All are released as singles. Others have mentioned the Storyteller Performance from a secrete show in Brooklyn. It's pretty cool, but you should definitely listen to the original versions to appreciate what he does live in that performance. Songs are Ride, Chlorine, Smithereens, My Blood, and Cut My Lip.
I also prefer this version over the original. They are like night and day, talent he has. It's got a groovy vibe. I'd also like to know where i can get this song.
"The Making Of" series for Jon Bellion was such a massive tool for him building a fan base because no other artist had given people such access to their music especially in the RUclips/Social Media generation. Artist just put music out and that was it nobody showed the process so when Jon did it he allowed his fan base to truly be along for the ride and in a way educated his fans and now he has reaped the rewards for that and has such a loyal support group because he was so open and in a way honest about his talent.
If you like the behind the scenes feel or want to see how the create all their sounds, you should check out the Tyler Joseph' storyteller performance and the Mutemath sessions video. Both are mind blowing in my mind! Great reaction!
I know you just did a Polyphia song, but you should check out their song "Euphoria" I think its their best track off the 2016 Renaissance album, super mellow, really technical and absolutely beautiful.
This video says its partially blocked in countries. I'm curious, what country is it NOT blocked in? What corner of the world are you in?

Josh usually does drums but I believe Tyler did them on this song
