First Friday - November 2023 "The Medium is the Message"

We were delighted to welcome Craig Millward. Craig has been a Baptist minister for over 30 years and has extensive experience of the joys and challenges of church leadership. He has written extensively, including a large contribution to the disability justice area of our website.
He is also a member of Baptist Union Council. Craig will be offering a reflective session on church communication. He offers this outline: 'We all know Marshall McLuhan's famous dictum "The Medium is the Message", but are we willing to do the work of looking at what our churches are communicating by the way we do what we do? This session attempted to deconstruct a typical Sunday service with a view to ensuring our medium matches our message.'
