After hearing all the songs that went to the finals my favourite is actually Smash Into Pieces - Six Feet Under, i really liked Loreen’s song and performance after hearing it the first time but now i actually feel that what’s really good about it is just the stage and the performance
@@Denis-89 it takes a lot of work to look casual and unpolished in a performance. Every movement she did and every camera angle was perfectly synchronized, so I totally disagree with that idea. The performance in Italy felt messy and the floor was horribly dirty. Too bad for her.
Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion, but here's what I think: Tattoo is a well-produced, quality song. The staging is very simple and contemporary at the same time, the light effects give an epic aspect to the performance! But objectively, even if Loreen is a great artist, this song remains very generic. The staging is definitely the key element of the performance, if it had been otherwise I don't think the hype around Loreen would be as important. When I listened to the audio version after watching the performance, I realized that I appreciated it and the staging more than the song itself.
The song moves me. But not like Euphoria do. It's still an epic song and the best Eurovison performance since forever. And it's hard not to compare them since we long for yet another mindblowing entry. But maybe Tattoo it's stronger then the other countries nevertheless. I don't know. Not everything has been done yet, the best example is Spain with Blanca Paloma and her flamenco/fusion song 😉 Of course generic doesn’t mean to be necessarily bad, but people always want something different, eurofans are slightly fed up of basic pop songs which always follow the same structures. Omg, same! For me, it starts, then stalls... finally gets going. And I must be getting old since I can't understand some of the lyrics 'cause she enunciates some parts unclearly. The performance is good and she has an AMAZING voice, but whenever I see a thumbnail of her video, I start humming Euphoria 😄 Tattoo melody just doesn't stick with me for that long.
I feel opposite. For me Euphoria was a grower. It needed a few listen throughs. But Tatoo is more instant, I remember it and I have not heard it since:) And I think most Swedes share that sentiment

Loreen has a pretty good song and amazing vocals, but my favorites are Smash Into Pieces. I've been somewhat of a fan of theirs ever since I heard one of their other songs a few years ago and seeing them on a eurovision stage would literally be a dream come true.

I'm surprised that Loreen's entry is fairly polarizing. I like it quite a bit, but some have declared her the instant winner of ESC 2023 while others have basically called her a has-been with a dated song. I would argue that she will win her NF. Her singing voice is on point, she sounds great even when is laying down and obviously that staging is incredibly memorable. Whether or not you believe she currently matches up to 11 years, I think it's hard to completely deny that her current entry has a lot going for it.
I keep hearing about people worrying about her not winning since what happened 2017. And as a Swede, I can tell you that the hype surrounding Loreen this year compared to back in 2017, is COMPLETELY different. She is number #1 on trending in RUclips-Sweden. She is on the number #1 spot on the daily-most-streamed-list on Spotify Sweden. And the general hype I see on social media towards her is surreal. This year, all I'm hearing from basically everyone I'm talking to is that this year is the most obvious winner in many years of Melfest since this year is also very weak, in terms of contestants to win. I want her to win, and what I know, the majority here wants it too. Based on what I can report from here in Sweden, we shouldn't be worried at all.

Ett exempel, hon slog Spotify-rekord ( baserat på låtar från Mello ) med flest lyssningar på ett dygn med Tattoo efter att den släpptes, hon ligger fortfarande etta på trending på RUclips och även etta på Spotify. Jag tror det är betydligt fler som vill se henne vinna än tvärtom så jag tror 100% att det är hon som tar hem detta utan problem! Det bara är en heeelt annan nivå!

I'll be voting for Loreen for sure and believe she will win but you can never be sure with us Swedes. We'll be voting crazy sometimes and the Norwegian twins (Markus & Martinus) seem to be popular with the young girls/kids who are known to vote intensely and maybe bribe granny and grandpa as well.

It's a fantastic song, and no doubting how immensely talented Loreen is. But not sure how the voting public will receive an entrant performing twice. Marcus and Martinus is Norwegian and has had a HUGE fanbase in all of Scandinavia since they were cute preteens. Especially in Sweden so I guess that’s why they got the opportunity to compete in Melodifestivalen.

Marcus and Martinus are Norwegian Twins, and their song is one of the songs that could compete with Loreen but I also think Smash Into Pieces could have a good shot, even though it's very likely that Loreen will win and represent Sweden in ESC. I love Euphoria more though, and I think it's the staging that really elevates the song this year, but it's gonna be really hard for the others. My top 3 in Melfest this year is Loreen, Marcus and Martinus and Smash Into Pieces with Mariette as a close 4th place, so hoping she gets through the semi finale.

Tattoo could be a winning song if there isn't Euphoria. Now this is feeling just a well calculated song to get her fame back and bring success to Sweden. And I'm not sure is European audience wanting Loreen to win again or her back to Eurovision. I keep hearing about people worrying about her not winning since what happened 2017. And as a Swede, I can tell you that the hype surrounding Loreen this year compared to back in 2017, is COMPLETELY different. She is number #1 on trending in RUclips-Sweden. She is on the number #1 spot on the daily-most-streamed-list on Spotify Sweden. And the general hype I see on social media towards her is surreal. This year, all I'm hearing from basically everyone I'm talking to is that this year is the most obvious winner in many years of Melfest since this year is also very weak, in terms of contestants to win. I want her to win, and what I know, the majority here wants it too. Based on what I can report from here in Sweden, we shouldn't be worried at all.

@@Denis-89 Att det finns folk som inte vill att den mest tippade ska vinna finns ju varje år såklart! Från mitt perspektiv så är hon mer hypad än någon tidigare vinnare / tävlande på många år. Ett exempel, hon slog Spotify-rekord ( baserat på låtar från Mello ) med flest lyssningar på ett dygn med Tattoo efter att den släpptes, hon ligger fortfarande etta på trending på RUclips och även etta på Spotify. Jag tror det är betydligt fler som vill se henne vinna än tvärtom så jag tror 100% att det är hon som tar hem detta utan problem! Det bara är en heeelt annan nivå!

It's a fantastic song, and no doubting how immensely talented Loreen is. But not sure how the voting public will receive an entrant performing twice. That said, she did win by a long mile first time, so who knows! I have very high expectations for the UK entry too, from hearing the 2 main contenders (BRIT nominees) watch this space! :)

Marcus and Martinus is Norwegian and has had a HUGE fanbase in all of Scandinavia since they were cute preteens. Especially in Sweden so I guess that’s why they got the opportunity to compete in Melodifestivalen.

Loreen is charismatic, artistic, esoteric, mystic.. Her voice, the staging., the nails.. are epic.. Love the sound engineer’s work and the melody.. but I personally find that the refrain is disappointingly weak as the lyrics., especially the lyrics.. I mean what the f?!

Big fan of M&M and Smash into pieces. Minority opinion but not so keen on Tattoo. Staging is great, Loreen is fab but the song for me is missing something.
I get the love and support for loreen, i like her a lot myself, but i don’t think that her song this year is super strong, I do really love the staging though.
It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I thought her vocal was amazing, the staging was interesting and it’s just a really good entry chance for Sweden because I’ll be honest I’m disappointed with 80% entries so far 🤣 I only have like 5 entries from 2023 on my playlist

Marcus and Martinus are Norwegian Twins, and their song is one of the songs that could compete with Loreen but I also think Smash Into Pieces could have a good shot, even though it's very likely that Loreen will win and represent Sweden in ESC. I love Euphoria more though, and I think it's the staging that really elevates the song this year, but it's gonna be really hard for the others. My top 3 in Melfest this year is Loreen, Marcus and Martinus and Smash Into Pieces with Mariette as a close 4th place, so hoping she gets through the semi finale.

Tattoo could be a winning song if there isn't Euphoria. Now this is feeling just a well calculated song to get her fame back and bring success to Sweden. And I'm not sure is European audience wanting Loreen to win again or her back to Eurovision. Euphoria was a master piece and something unique and this is feeling just overtrying and copy cat to Eurovision audience. Yes this maybe hurt but I say what everyone is thinking. Of course this has potential to win IF this win audience by her side.
I think it's time to move on from the generic pop bullshit. Sweden has neglected one of its biggest strengths aka its rock scene for years and I hope that stops now. I'm confident Smash Into Pieces will gain more popular votes that will massively outweigh the few jury votes lost
