    What's your favorite feature on this e-bike? Would you take it for a city ride or an off-road adventure?

    i have on . got it for Christmas and have put 200 miles on it so far. its a great bike for what you pay. read all reviews. average speed 25 mph average milage is 24 all throttle. the battery is solid and the ride is very stable upright and very snappy turning for the weight. well balanced. now for the cons that are obvious if you read reviews and watch a few youtube videos. dont get me wrong its my first ebike and i love it. ok cons: the ride is mostly smooth but due to the weight it will bottom out and the rear shock spacer is halfway down the threads. front shocks are ok but are welded in on spot and have to be cut off if you want to upgrade. con 2 the weight over 80 pounds and with second battery its almost 100 pounds this bike wont fit in racks. con 3 and the most important is the mechanical dish breaks. they are bad and i mean really bad. they squeak and are a headache to tighten up and adjust. they take a long time to slow no matter how tight they get. in between lights in town. you can keep up with traffic to a point but have to break way early at the next intersection. honorable mention con is though it is almost ready for a second battery, its a nightmare to run the wires and make everything fit. honorable mention con 2 yes the bike is $850 after taxes after upgrades you are spending about 1400. oh lol no 1500 dont forget the tires lol. they are sooooo thin. i never popped mine but i didn't push it. just remember there is always something you forget.

      Bro thanks for sharing your experiences with this bike o have only put 60 miles on it and I’m still learning a lot. It’s my first e-bike but I ride a YZ250f in the woods and this has no comparison to the my Yamaha. But again for a budget bike it gets the job done. I have noticed the breaks take a while to stop that is a pain. I just moved to the city and I’m hoping to get more riding in. Again thanks for the insights I’ll have to do another review maybe at the 6 month point.

    My husband and I and our 13 y/o daughter have the v20. We save so much money on gas because we drive to school and work with the “fatbike’s” as they are called here, and I do groceries with the bike as well. I placed a rack on the front and placed a 30 liter large crate on it.

    Fat tires are great, but they get flats like crazy. I've had the biggest nails and screws pierce the tire and the pricey tuffy tire liners I added for protection. And all 6 flats i've gotten were on the back wheel which is a royal pain to fix. And you can't push it home if its totally flat. Gotta call an Uber and hope the driver has room for it and is cool with it.

    • @TechReviewswithphil

      I got tire liners for mine just in case. Sorry to hear about all those flats. If I have an issue I might buy the moose tubeless system to put in it.

    I just bought 2 Movcan v30 Max ebikes. Put them together today and tested them out. They are fairly easy to put together, and they are fun to ride. The factory speedometer is way off. Looks to be about 7 MPH optimistic. I set P04 to 40 (the highest it would go) and the most I can get is 28 MPH. This is my first ebike and I am content with it, especially since I have nothing else to compare it to. I do like that it has a 1500w motor and 32AH worth of battery capacity. Anyways, thanks for the review!

    I have a question if that's all right. Is there a way to lock the bike so it won't turn on say if I'm running into the grocery store for 15minutes or something along those lines.
    Thanks!

    • @TechReviewswithphil
      @TechReviewswithphil  4 месяца назад

      No, they sure don’t, but that’s the biggest problem with all the bikes is the fact that you don’t even need to turn it on for someone to walk away with it. They can just start paddling and takeoff. What I do is I bought a circle lock security makes a good one and I put it on my rear break. That way the bike can’t roll at all. I also have a folding lock that I locked the rear tire to the frame of the bike. The one to two minutes that it takes to put it on and take it off is worth the peace of mind, knowing your bike can’t just be pushed away. I would also get an AirTag with a magnetic waterproof case and put that somewhere on the bike.

      @@TechReviewswithphil I am talking to movcan right now I am only getting about 10 miles out of my battery so we are checking it now. I also am in contact with a manufacturer of hub motors and they have a 2000 Watt rear hub that is for this exact bike. We are building a kit up for the bike as we speak to increase the speed to between 45-50MPH and increasing the range as well with a battery that is of same Fuel tank design spec. After I receive the kit I am going to do a complete build guide and range test. the goal is to look as close to stock as possible right now I am looking at the kit being from $1200-$1500. The battery I am looking at for it is a 72V 20Ah 60A 500-3000Watt battery that looks exactly like our Movcan battery. They even make a 48V 35Ah 40A and 50A 500-2000 watt battery with at XT90 connector.

    I’m thinking about getting this versions cousin, the v60. I’m just worried about taking it over trails, here in Texas we have some gnarly trails with big rocks, small rocks, and good uphills.
    With the visual I gave you, do you think I would break this bike😂
    I’m thinking about getting this bike for a year or two then save up for a nice small dirt bike.

    • @TechReviewswithphil
      @TechReviewswithphil  8 месяцев назад

      so the bigger one would be good for tough trails but you can't go fast. I have to use the pedals on steep hills. If you're looking for speed you need a bigger gas bike. The problem with all the e-bikes even Surron is the suspension. It will make it through a lot but suspension on all e-bikes is made for basic trails. I have a yzf250 for hard trail riding.

      mine on there pretty tight you have to hold the key in the unlock position with your left hand with your right hand you wanna take your thumb and push real hard where the charge port sticker is right in the back. don’t push on that bottom plastic, that’s the actual plug you push on the far back side of the tank. But you have to make sure you hold that key in the unlock position or it’ll rotate back to the lock position. It’s basically a two hand job.

      The only difference is the frame and display same motor same batteries. The V60 pro model has a 1500 W motor. But the regular V 30 and V6 are the same bike, just different frame and display screen. They’re calling the V60 the off-road one, but all I can see is a frame change I haven’t tested the V60 yet but if I get the chance, I’ll do a full review video on it.

    • @TechReviewswithphil
      @TechReviewswithphil  8 месяцев назад

      Every state is different. You have to look up your local e bike rules or call your local precinct. Where I live you don’t need a license to drive it. You have to follow the same laws that bikes do but if it goes 28mph you have to wear a helmet. Again all states and city’s have different laws for e-bikes.
