Looks like he actually got pierced with that final tap. He moved his hand away just slightly as if he felt that needle penetrate into the glove. I’d add a thin layer of Kevlar into the gloves for added protection. 1mm of Kevlar is better than no Kevlar.
He didn't get poked. He just flinched because the guy wound up so hard for the stab. LOL. Everyone there confirmed there was no pierce and no blood. ..Thankfully.
i wonder how much pressure is needed to go through the material? good gloves though by the looks of things.
Thanks for your question. The amount of pressure being exerted in this video exceeds the amount of pressure an officer would typically exert during an ordinary pat-down search. You can see how the needle tip was bent in the process. These gloves have been tested to be Level 3 needle-resistant and Level 5 cut-resistant on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the highest within test standard EN 388. Exceeding Level 3 for needle-resistance would make the gloves have compromised dexterity. Hope this information is helpful to you.
