The knife is made by a brand called "Sekizo" it is a Japanese brand, I have only found one of these for sale online, seems it's no longer produced, it's probably a good quality steel hence why it has lasted you so long, I have always been blown away how this knife survives torqing on coconuts without breaking, but seems it's actualy a quality knife.

I really doubt that. SEKIZO makes kitchen knives for cutting fish from Japan. Not movie replica knives. Pause it @9:17 screen shot it, magnify and enhance if you want. The logo on his knife is not the same any Sekizo. Show us the product page. It's just a cheap replica of the knife from the movie "Book of Eli". I cropped the image from his video, and it says Stainless Steel China. The logo is some sort of bird with wings spread. Kinda Nazi-ish. Google has no results for what the logo is. Maybe one picture for Solinger, which is German and that's the only one picture that shows that. No other Solinger logos are at all similar to it. And the lettering under his knifes logo is illegiable to me. It's just some stainless steel from China replica from a movie.
Its just decent knife bc its a bigish, full tang, heavier knife with a decent ground blade. As long as it's kept sharp it'll be fine. And he's never really abused it that I've seen seen. He opens coconuts and cuts fish with it. Yeah it is kinda his channels knife representative, but it's just a knife from a movie. Might as well use a cheap replica Rambo knife.

I liked the tidy piles of coconut husks/shells along the sides of the path. Seems like regulars/neighbors have a system. Such stewardship may be one of the reasons that that island looks as well-kept as it does.
