Could you make a video of the finances of an excavation business? Been talking to some other owners and it’s hard to tell how much they are really making. Some are aggressive with paying down debt and others utilizing debt and scaling faster (but also eating more interest). Would like to know how much is actually coming in to get a business plan financial protections for different strategies. Really enjoy the videos thanks for the education!

Rick and I are considering doing a subscription where we would start getting into numbers and we would bid a couple jobs with our numbers to show guys what's going on behind the scenes. Due to the fact that we would be "showing our hand" to an extent, this will most likely be a video series behind the subscription.

Excellent video bro. Don't have a lot of experience using a hammer attachment. The tips you provided, are going to be very helpful. Thanks my man.

Hi Bryan I was just wondering what your opinion was on this if you could maybe make a video what do you think the excavation business and heavy equipment operating is gonna look like in the next 10 to 20 years? Do you think there will still be a lot of work or will there be a jump in operators and less pay, will there be less land to creat new builds or do you think there will be more of a demand with less operators more work?

I guess the real question is Will there always be a need for operators

Absolutely there will be work for us. There are too many aspects of this industry that require a person in the seat for them to automate us out of a job. Technology is changing the landscape but you still need skilled tradespeople out doing the work. I may eat my words but, I don't ever see an autonomous machine installing storm pipe 30 feet down. There are too many variables for a computer to safely do that work. You have to remember that our workforce is also shrinking. A lot of the technology that is impacting our industry is trying to make up for the gap in people. They aren't trying to replace the labor force, they are trying to supplement the labor force. I think you'll be secure in a job for the next 50+ years.
