  • Structuralism began its movement in 1950s in France. Among many pioneers in Structuralism the major proponents that largely contributed to this movement were CLAUDE LEVI-STRAUSS with his ‘THE STRUCTURAL STUDY OF MYTH’ and ROLAND BARTHES. However, the origin of structuralism is rooted to the work of Swiss Linguist, Ferdinand de Saussure (1857-1913) in the early 20th Century and regard as father of structuralism commonly in Linguistics. This theory was developed in opposed to essentialist perception of reality to a representational and structural dependent one.

I was never able to understand structuralism. It has been 2 years and so many lectures yet nothing! Your explanations and examples made it super easy understand this topic that I've been crying because I couldn't understand a single thing people were talking about 😭. Thank you so much!!!! I really appreciate it. I wish good things happen to you!!!! ❤

@@khenethavila I wrote in exams by memorising the notes I made by peeking on the teachers note during class in Bachelors😂 now in Masters, I'm supposed to give a brief introduction of the theory before we talk about Roman Jakobson so I was freaking out because I forgot what I memorized. So thank you sooooo much!!! Your examples really made me understand the whole thing. It was so simple and I was overthinking about it being difficult to comprehend! If only the teachers gave us simple explanations and examples. 😂
Btw, your voice is so soothing and gentle!

excellent video but as other people have mentioned, sound effects shouldn’t actually be noticed, they’re there to subtly guide you without you realising it - since dings are very jarring sounds, you should use them sparingly

For those who are wondering and philosophing about why we call the things with certain names and not others and who generated them . The answer is (God) . He taught the first man he created (Adam) all the names of all the things that exist on earth and in the universe when he first created it and you can check this information and search in the Quran. U will find that when god asked the angels to tell him the names of certain things they couldn't answer cuz they don't know and then he asked Adam about it and he answered it and then God said I told I know what you don't... And then he order the angels to prostrate to Adam.
