whats up Nitrogang brother! Bro, the turnaround is like 6 month - 1 Year LOL. At my current rate, ahaha. I'll take one tho for some repairs, no problem.
I converted my rc10gt to traxxas axles in the front so I didn't have to find adapters for the tiny bearings in the front wheels now I can use any nitro two wheel drive wheels I want 🤓
hey man! Thanks for watching. Yes, the entire RC10 series was always interesting for the racing style innovations of the time. This was the first style of their "STEALTH" transmission, I don' think they called it that on the original model.
hey bro! I highly considered that. The problem was even when it was fairly tight the entire diff would slip even with minimal acceleration. It was as if the slipper was highly loose, although it was tight as possible. Eventually the bolt snapped, currently the thing seems to be high enough to not have power loss to the rear wheels.
Hey Hybrid! That looks like a great project restoration of that classic car and neat transmission very interesting video! It looks like it's coming around and with some tweaking will be a great runner! I like pizza too!😉😎👍🤣😂🤣 ONG!
I’m restoring a 94-95 tub chassis kit right now, I found one in amazing condition with a REX engine that I plan to still use. Anyway, the wheels on mine look like the ones on yours, except they are chrome and not blue-chrome. Do you know who made those wheels? My wheels had pro-line tires on them.

hey man! thanks for watching! Yup, these are a damn legend by now. But let me tell you this, get yourself a modern traxxas Jato, it will blow this one away. The Jato is currently the fastest new RTR you can buy in the entire nitro segment. IF stadium trucks is your thing, the Jato is King! lol. IN fact I'm about to go drive mine right now.
hybrid32494 been smashing on my sons Team Associated DB10 Dune Edition. The paddles on the sand at the beach are a heck of a good time. It isn’t fast, but it sure handles well with the stability gyro. Love these new FE buggies and trucks. The boats are fun too. But nothing like a nitro motor. Miss my old GT very much. Tank after tank, leave it running and just refuel and go.
hey buddy! That is a very good question. I have run into the same problem on a couple other used nitros I own! I have not found a solution that looks good yet. The only proper idea is to 3D print some, I am looking Into that right now.
hey bro! Nobody will ever kill the Nitrogang, like they did to the Trump Supporter Servers, lol. JK. We will just go underground and burn nitro, no matter what. JK.
R10GT an oldie but a goodie!👌 Yoo my man with the Nitro masta plan!!! I came seconds away from buying a Losi 8ight T w/.28 engine yesterday! Whats your thoughts? I really want it but i gotta pull the trigger asap cuz its brand new and it was a rare delivery to my local hobby shop from horizon hobbies!
You’re a godsend for going over the wheels. It’s a pain to get original parts off of eBay. Sometimes you can find a good deal. What offset would you recommend?
hey bro, good question. Honestly the best thing you can do is just WD-40 them. or even just use tire shine products from real auto parts stores. I personally don't do this, it's cheap enough to replace tires on anything other than monster trucks. With buggies, the 17MM wheels and tires are so cheap, it's not big deal.. Only problem is when you got dry rot on anything like a savage, Losi LST or T-maxx wheels, that's not good.
@@Syphic001 I totally understand you now, lol. Know those tires are rare and almost unrewlaeable at this point. I still have an original Terra crusher, the tires are wiped with WD-40. Seems to be doing fine. BTW I wash all my tires with soap and a brush in the sink and make sure they are clean and no nitro fuel or oil in on them.
I don’t understand how you don’t have 20 times more subs. Love the vids hybrid. Also what’s the cheapest nitro you would recommend. ( not a noob lol cough cough tmaxx gang cough cough ). Thanks hybrid
Noticed a few things. There should be a good amount of graphite greese inside the transmission and on the ball diff. You can only tighten the diff so much, if you over tighten the diff you with destroy the balls and washers on the diff main gear . Also the rear axles are missing the shims behind the drive pins
hey my dude! I pretty much looked at the exploded views when I was working on this thing, and it looked correct to me, you know. Its a damn mystery, lol.
@@hybrid32494 Ok great, I recently assembled one and I thought I remembered it saying the nut goes in the side of the diff where the engine is on but I could be very wrong. Loving the content bro!
Hey man I have a nitro gang question! I have a hpi nitro RS4 2 with a 15 FE, and when I try to start it it will fire and have a loud clicking sound almost like something is hitting. But the engine is nearly new and was broken in well. I have a suspicion of a one way bearing but I just want input from the nitro gang leader!!!
hey my dude! Sounds like a you've got a clutch bell issue. Check if your clutch bell is wobbling, it's very common for the older style "Needle style clutch bell bearings" to fail. This will cause a metal to metal type noise because your clutch bell is wobbly and could be hitting the flywheel. Check that first. You could upgrade to modern twin bearings btw, that's what I've done.
hybrid32494 why is the light on your transmitter flashing are the batteries low How long has she been your girlfriend and most importantly is she into RC’s
hey my fellow Nitro Guru! that is exactly what I like to hear, fixing our vintage nitros the creative way, thats a terrific idea actually. This one has terrible brakes, I'll have to do another full video on it, it's beyond the linkage and beyond the brake rotor, it's because the rotary carb does not allow the brake servo to fully engage the brakes.
Team associated starting rereleasing the gold pan chassis cars from the 80's. They have done the RC10T but i dont think ive seen the RC10GT rerelease yet. Think the worlds car is about to come out so they are still making the reres so hopefully the RC10GT will make a come back!
hey my dude! This looks like the sam RC as I cooked the egg in, it's the same style of motor too btw, you're right about that. The Egg Cooker was a newer team Losi xxx-nt with the .12 OS engine. Basically the same style of RC as this though, so you're mostly right. This one still needs some work tho.

I've got a somewhat later model RTR RC10GT with the original AE 18 engine in it and it fuckin' ripps! Got a video of it on my channel. It's basically stock except I had to fabricate some rear body mounts and the drive tires are replaced; just put some Proline Trenchers on it haven't gotten them glued yet. Please don't use those AA holders though. They're a runaway begging to happen. I use LiFE receiver packs; 2s is the same voltage as 4 alkalines so it won't burn anything out but is so much more dependable.
sup bro! Yes, the last gen RC10GT plus models were the best of the range, you got a GEM right there. BTW, funny you mention the runaway with the AA pack. Well during the making of this video I had a pretty serious runaway right into my foot, this whole weekend I'm limping and had to ice it. DAMN!!! it was fully my fault tho, I should have check the battery pack and the shitty rubber band I was using. lol.
@@hybrid32494 I got mine for under 200 bucks totally ready to run too. I didn't even have to touch the carb or change the plug! I just put batteries, fuel in it, flashed it up, and just sent it! Rips like there's no tomorrow! I've since changed out the receiver for an R2106GF so I can drive it on my modern 2.4ghz radio, put a Protek RC100ss servo in the front to steer it, sent the original XP-2 radio and original steering servo to a collector buddy of mine. Changed the servo out because it was just slow and weak. 0.20s/60 and 40-odd oz/in wasn't adequate. I wanted more torque more snap and the Protek 100SS delivers. www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-100ss-standard-digital-super-speed-metal-gear-servo-ptk-100ss/p253591 Servo I used. www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-life-kyosho-tekno-hump-receiver-battery-pack-6.6v-1800mah-ptk-5162/p233427 Here's the receiver battery I'm using. It's the same form factor as that AA holder so it fits in that same spot, but it won't jostle a cell out like the AA holders are prone to doing. Also far better at supplying current when the servos demand it; I've had 2.4ghz radios brown out when high power servos try to pull power out of alkaline cells. I'm wondering if I'll get wheelies out of mine with these Trenchers. It launches like a brushless dude. Seriously. Just GONE soon as I floor it. That AE 18 is a monster! OH! Right I also changed out the air filter. Mine still had one of those paper element jobbys that AE was notorious for back in the day; it's on my own display shelf and a more modern foam filter was fitted to the engine. I run in too dusty an environment for the paper filter to be good enough.
hey dude! Unfortunately you cannot buy these brand new. This entire chassis had a revision in the later 1990's and was discontinued in the mid 2000's. You can pick these up used. I highly recommend you get a traxxas JATO or a nitro Rustler, much more common, and still sold brand new.
Hi! Im back again i was the guy of that onroad nitro rc. I have good news: we drove it after 7/8 years! Now we know that the engine system is good, but we have another problem. It drives like a drunk person 😂. We have to redo the oil in the shocks and add screws that are currently missing. But how do i find the right shock oil?
hey bro! So far that's good news! In terms of shock oil I typically have about 3 different types, 30 weight, 60 weight and 80 weight. On average for road cars about 60 weight will give you good dampening. Over time the shock components being to leak and/or become stiff due to friction. Just rebuild the shocks and check if the pistons move freely up and down, when the shock is taken apart. then do from there.
Hey my dude, LOVE your video because I still have a RC10GT that I got and built back in the late ‘90’s (along with a RC10T and an RC10DS mustang). So I have two questions 1. I put less then a tank of fuel through the OS engine but was never able to get it tuned and driving, should I tear the engine down to inspect it like you did? 2. Is there a good Facebook group you can suggest for a novice who has the retro vehicles I mentioned above?
My mrc has that ball diff. To me they are a pain to adjust. Its an electric trk. But when its right it would really go!!! Yes they have that with the kit so you can run different rims. I even have an old mrc monster trk still in the box. Does your wife like to run rc vehicles to?

I will drop off some of my cars to you for restoration cheers brother
whats up Nitrogang brother! Bro, the turnaround is like 6 month - 1 Year LOL. At my current rate, ahaha. I'll take one tho for some repairs, no problem.
Nice OS! I'm getting one soon in a RS42. It is a 12, but still great engine nonetheless. Also picking up a XLB today
Love your videos and love limp
thank my dude! glad to have you here!
Great as always 👍 nitro gang dominates 😎
I converted my rc10gt to traxxas axles in the front so I didn't have to find adapters for the tiny bearings in the front wheels now I can use any nitro two wheel drive wheels I want 🤓
Early Rc10 used a 6 gear with external diff was very interesting design
hey man! Thanks for watching. Yes, the entire RC10 series was always interesting for the racing style innovations of the time. This was the first style of their "STEALTH" transmission, I don' think they called it that on the original model.
I have one of these, been "restoring" it. Beautiful, would have loved to see it run. Not the jado.😂👍
Nitro gang!
YOU OVER TIGHTENED IT THOSE NEVER BREAK!!!!!!!!!!
hey bro! I highly considered that. The problem was even when it was fairly tight the entire diff would slip even with minimal acceleration. It was as if the slipper was highly loose, although it was tight as possible. Eventually the bolt snapped, currently the thing seems to be high enough to not have power loss to the rear wheels.
HEY YO ! THAT PIZZA LOOKED YUMMY DELICIOUS OOH LALA!!
At 2:08 I can see my Instagram comment about my Team Associated Mini MGT 3.0 😂 and my Kyosho Inferno buggies. That’s Awesome!!!!!
Yoo atk!
I just got my hands on one of these seems to be all there but piston is seized hoping to get poking at it sooner than later
I put a Dynamite Paris Dish .12 on mine…it was before all the monster motors of today..lol
Dmitry back then: not to bad...pepperoni has good flavor
Dmitry now: I BROUGHT A FRICKIN LED LIGHT WITH ME
I'm planning to do a complete restore on mine. Is there a Website that sells replacement parts for these?
Love the video man bringing back one old school nitro at a time. Keep nitro alive!
Third! I’d love one of those great vid
same!
hey bro! thanks once again! This thing needs some more work, but at least the engine runs and idles great. I keep having brake issues, this will probably be a whole other video, the brake linkage is a damn MYSTERY. I even made my own brake linkage according to the original manual, still sucks.
you can find the blue pan rtr model fairly easily and cheap these days. i got mine for 100 dollars.
I have one of these just got it running hand been ran in 15 years runs like a champ. Where have you found extra spare parts for it
Wish I still had mine 😔
hey man! thanks for watching!
What can be used for body posts? I can’t find any for mine.
hey buddy! That is a very good question. I have run into the same problem on a couple other used nitros I own! I have not found a solution that looks good yet. The only proper idea is to 3D print some, I am looking Into that right now.
Ok. Thank you so much! Love your content! Keep educating us on nitro history!
Nice video man, and agin as I’ve complained about RUclips really out here trying to kill nitro gang!
hey bro! Nobody will ever kill the Nitrogang, like they did to the Trump Supporter Servers, lol. JK. We will just go underground and burn nitro, no matter what. JK.
@@hybrid32494 maybe the Trump supporters went underground too... keep making Nitro great again brother
Damn I wish I had my box still
R10GT an oldie but a goodie!👌 Yoo my man with the Nitro masta plan!!!
What does the Nitrogang use to prevent rotting or cracking of tires on vintage nitros ?
hey bro, good question.
Okay I got a terra crusher and mgt just trying to take care of tires before they go bad
@@hybrid32494 thanks for the tip 👌👌
I don’t understand how you don’t have 20 times more subs. Love the vids hybrid. Also what’s the cheapest nitro you would recommend. ( not a noob lol cough cough tmaxx gang cough cough ). Thanks hybrid
I Just picked up another sportwerks reaction nitro 40$ I love these cars and how they start from the Transmitter
That adjustment screw I believe should be on the left side or driver's side of the truck
16:15 wow i wish hunting could be that easy where I am :)
Hell ya man!
We need to see more pizza in your episodes. Looked delicious !
hey bro!! Glad you liked that pizza segment! I agree, time to get pizza right now, no joke, I'm on the dominions app right now.
Noticed a few things.
There should be a good amount of graphite greese inside the transmission and on the ball diff.
You can only tighten the diff so much, if you over tighten the diff you with destroy the balls and washers on the diff main gear .
Also the rear axles are missing the shims behind the drive pins
Sick bro! I think your diff was either assembly backwards or the thrust nut is in the wrong end.
hey my dude!
6:17 thank
hey bro! you got it! We both say thanks for watching ahahaha. This the Nitro Gang GF right there bro. How bout that RC10GT tho ,ahaha. JK.
hybrid32494 why is the light on your transmitter flashing are the batteries low
How long has she been your girlfriend and most importantly is she into RC’s
Gotta hit up Brownies...I bet he still has parts for it there.
I had to file a hex in a copper washer and use that as a break disk LOL
hey my fellow Nitro Guru! that is exactly what I like to hear, fixing our vintage nitros the creative way, thats a terrific idea actually.
U cooked egg on this nitro i still remember that video
Nitrogang boss did cook an egg in a OS engine but it was on a Losi xxxnt which i used to have back in 2003!!!
hey my dude! This looks like the sam RC as I cooked the egg in, it's the same style of motor too btw, you're right about that. The Egg Cooker was a newer team Losi xxx-nt with the .12 OS engine. Basically the same style of RC as this though, so you're mostly right. This one still needs some work tho.
bro, whats up RC MAX GANG!! I'm gonna hire you as my fact checker bro, you're on point with the egg cooking vids, lol. We might needs to follow-up with the xxx-nt and cook another egg in there. Protein BABY!!!.
@@hybrid32494 now time to fry some chicken on nitro engine is this possible? but u have to completely sealed the heat sink so oil stays on it and fry some chicken and we called that chicken NFC NItro fried chicken
Can you still get them brand new
hey dude! Unfortunately you cannot buy these brand new. This entire chassis had a revision in the later 1990's and was discontinued in the mid 2000's. You can pick these up used. I highly recommend you get a traxxas JATO or a nitro Rustler, much more common, and still sold brand new.
@@hybrid32494 ok thanks bro
I have a classic f1 nitro rc and I’m wondering how to fix it
2 speed gang
@@hybrid32494 thanks for replying again! So do you have any suggestions for shock oil? Like brands or something like that?
Nice, I had to let go of mine
Hey my dude, LOVE your video because I still have a RC10GT that I got and built back in the late ‘90’s (along with a RC10T and an RC10DS mustang). So I have two questions
1. I put less then a tank of fuel through the OS engine but was never able to get it tuned and driving, should I tear the engine down to inspect it like you did?
2. Is there a good Facebook group you can suggest for a novice who has the retro vehicles I mentioned above?
Second also great video
Man I love that thing. Do you plan on doing and speed runs before you give it back?
I have that motor in my nitro rs4!
Sneaking up on deers with a deer stalker hat....
My 1st rc was a rc10gt
Where can I send you pictures of my Nitro
R/C's ??
My mrc has that ball diff. To me they are a pain to adjust. Its an electric trk. But when its right it would really go!!! Yes they have that with the kit so you can run different rims. I even have an old mrc monster trk still in the box.
Does your wife like to run rc vehicles to?

oh deer
thats deer is a damn HERBIVORE, not into nitro rc, ahahaha. thanks for watching man. this is just some of the local wildlife where I live.
Whait a sec. You have DEERS in NY city??
Take it to a track, see how it does
hey dude! I still got some things to fix up on this thing, but that may happen soon in the future, good idea!! I gotta fix the breaks some more and the entire suspension too before any of that. Nitrogang!>
Yo do you want to buy a refurbished xtm mammoth monster truck it has new gears, and new motor
