Love it! I was waiting for this for quite some time! I love your perceptive from a rf97 one handed backhand player! The point about the backhand scramble at the defense really helped me. Thank you so much! All the best for your journey!!! 👍👍👍
Nice review of RF01 Pro, the racket which I also bought and use for almost 3 weeks now. I have the same feeling and commending with you about the RF01 Pro after switching from RF97 v13😂 I cannot stand and adapt the racket first week because of its lighter weight that makes me swing faster than playing with RF97 and takes me too early to contact the ball, but it is better since the second week:) Then, I can start to get the benefit from the advantage about the spin and light weight. Good video for the fair point of view btw!
Thank you Jimmy 🙏 I’m glad that you got used to it after the second week, I’ve been trying the rf01 for a week now and it feels very natural. Just takes time to get used to the added power and spin like you say. How are the k factor 90s that you have?
Wonderful review, thanks. I hope to see a follow-up review, with segments, comparisons etc and more nice hitting. Nothing illustrates how a certain racquet performs better than just watching good players like yourself hit with it, plus it's sure to get you a lot of views 👍
really nice serving action, dude. i personally won't switch to that racquet from a pro staff 97. i've found my end game racquet and don't need to go searching again. also it's great to see someone reviewing a racquet with really good technique. a lot of reviewers have horrendous techniques.
it would be very interesting if you tried different strings and different tension on the rf pro 1 to give us a professional analysis of the various between spin, control, power etc., the internet is full of amateurs who review either rackets or strings and they draw irrelevant conclusions unfortunately.
It’s something I’ve tried to do to make my reviews more reliable. But I’ve only had them strung at my tension with my same string. Definitely a great shout
Tested RF01 pro recently, and also, as a 340g pro staff user, i thought about giving my two quid on how i felt playing with it. Honestly, everything you've said here mirrors what i also experienced playing with the racket. Manoeuvrability was perhaps the biggest difference between that and the RF97A. That and also defensive play was easier. It's great to play with on clay. With the increase in power, would you recommend going up in string tension? P.S. enjoying the content, subscribed 👍
Thank you 🙏 for me personally I went up a few pounds with this racket to try and play with it properly and I found that that worked for me. I think when switching to a new frame it’s good to experiment with tension anyway. When I first got the rf01 it was strung at 53lbs and I couldn’t keep it in the court 😂 but I know players who loved the racket at a low tension. Now I string it at 58lbs and I find that suits me as I get more control on the flatter strokes. It’s definitely far more manoeuvrable than the rf97 and easier to get power out of. Have you switched to it?
@seanplaystenis Not yet. I'd like to do a few trials on fast indoor courts, as the outdoor season here in Germany is just wrapping up. As we play all summer on clay courts, I would happily take this racket into battle on the red dirt. Testing on the indoors will be interesting, as this is where the Pro Staffs, for me, been superb. I would also like to try some other rackets from other brands similar to this one specs wise just to see how they compare. It's going to be a busy winter for me!
Hi Sean, Great content as usual! Would you recommend a 4.0-4.5 going for the 300g version rather than the Pro? My previous rackets include K Factor 90 (15 years use), last 2 years, Prince 97P (348grams strung). Looking for something with similar all court playability, but than can handle bigger baseline hitters.
Great review mate. I've been using Murray's head rackets (2017 edition) and not found anything that comes close to them yet for balanced power and control. But, this frame you tested has got me intrigued to try it. Cheers mate👊
Great review. What sets you apart from all the other reviewers - you have the game the use it. I don't think it's a hard racquet to use, but a lot of the other racquet reviewers just don't have the game (mostly footwork) and end up talking down the racquet.
Thank you 🙏 for me it was very comfortable, but there are other rackets I may find trickier to use, just depends how the racket matches up to someone’s Gamestyle I think. There’s definitely rackets I’d find harder to use
I used the RF 97 and switched to the RF 01 Pro. I think one racquet worth trying is the six one 95. I like that the 95 still has the added weight at 3 and 9 for balance that the rf 01 unfotunately lost, but I haven't gotten my hands on a recent verstion of the six one 95 (they also unfortunately seem to be using the 18 20 string pattern on it, though.)
Fun fact about this Wilson Six.One 95 v14 is that even if there is so massive weight (331g) you still need to add some weight onto 3&9 (I recommend 4x 1,0g). And the pattern 18x20 is not an issue for sure.
Have you tried the yonex sv 95? It would fit your game nice and the sweetspot is larger than others 95inch frames. You do get the benefits of a 95 inch. I compres them with the rf 01 pro and I likes it much better. But its also what im used to I might just not be good enough for the rf 01 pro.
I haven’t tried the yonex sv 95 yet, will definitely try and get my hands on one and try it out. Thank you 🙏 I’ve looked up the specs and I think that’s a great shout
Nice review…I know you like Wilson but have you tried the Head Extreme Pro? Similar advantages(ease of use, spin, power, versatility) over something like the RF 97 and Pro Staff 97
Really enjoyed your review. Subscribed! I found it underpowered ( I’ve been using the pro staff pro 90 or pro staff rf 97 for years). What strings and string tension would you recommend? ( mine is strung at 53 pounds)? Thanks !
Thank you, means a lot and helps the journey so much 🙏 there was definitely more power to get used to than the rf97, I’m normally at 57lbs and was considering going slightly higher.
Def try the Blade 98 and if you can get your hands on it... the 98 Pro. I actually tried my friends RF97 for the first time today. We both agreed that my Blade gives similar power with maybe a bit more spin?
I have a blade 98, already done a review but i will definitely do another. I have a blade pro 98 to do a review on so that will be on the way soon 👍 I’d say that’s probably right about the spin, the blade is lighter so can move quicker
@@seanplaystenis nice! As I was typing that I realized the increased spin is probably just because of the lower swing weight. I've actually never tried the Blade Pro so definitely interested in your thoughts!
Yes definitely, for me prince is underrated, I think they do some great frames. The designs are out there and their colab with hydrogen is pretty cool too
How is the launch angle on this racquet? I love to hit speedy but close to net level height balls, really hate those loopy shots. Btw any experience what racquet setup brings the launch down? Higher tension, crosses higher tension than mains?
Great review! I’m a 4.0 senior singles player. ( one handed backhand) Just tried the RF Future… sending it back ( a bit too light)…Will try the RF 01 next. I think the Pro may be a tad too heavy and too advanced for me. Do you like the RF 01? Best, John
I don't understand why none of the reviews have called out the obvious.. This should be called an RF Pure Aero. The mould looks like and Aero mould save the throat..
@@osamasoliman9757 RF01 Pro in fact is more like 310g instead of 320g because RF Leather Grip give an extra 10g in compare to other regular racquets with synthetic grip.
Yes definitely, I’ll see if I have enough lead tape to match his specs 😂 I saw his racket when I hit with him, it’s pretty much the racket from the shelf but with a lot of weight added, nice frame
Love it! I was waiting for this for quite some time! I love your perceptive from a rf97 one handed backhand player! The point about the backhand scramble at the defense really helped me.

I play the pro, in a hybrid Set up, völkl cyclone tour/ isospeed professionell new 18g ( 1,20). I like it with some lead on 12 and 9/ 3 clock.
How heavy is the total weight of the frame? I think hybrid set up is sensible in a heavier frame, if you can get one softer string

You can try to put more tension (+1,0/1,5kg; 2-3lbs) onto cross string in compare to the mains to find a bit lower angle.
@@MiracleAgeGKS Thanks, I also heard that crosses at higher tension makes launch angle lower, will need to try it out.
