I wasn’t sure why this showed up on my feed, but I’m glad it did. My cousin, who loved to play ragtime with the Disney pianists, walks into the background. Sure do miss Cousin Stan.
Sadly, Stan passed away a little over two years ago. How well I remember our first visit to Disneyland. Our parents wouldn’t take us until the park had been open for month or so, but we managed to tire them out anyway.
@@maritasue5067 Very sorry for your loss and to hear this Melinda. I was wondering for a long time why I haven't seen him at the coke refreshment center. I had the pleasure of meeting Stan on a few occasions. He was very personable and had a great musical talent and ear. He had a great energy. He will certainly be missed at the coke refreshment center. Sounds like you have a great history at Disneyland together.

This is great. Have you heard the German boy who has played this same piano and it the young king of boogie in Europe. Lucas is his name. You always bring us such interesting videos. I hope you both are well. Jim

Man that Chicago style boogie! It really is a crossroads for us blues/boogie players: Chicago or New Orleans.
Aaaaaaaand this is why I never play the piano for an audience. I simply can't compare. Not even close. This is a master at work. =)
I know this comment is three years old, but: The only way Johnny improved was by playing in front of many audiences. It’s part of improving.
