Kind of creepy but interesting a museum is the right place for those items. Totally agree with the commentary that we need to reflect and understand history to avoid repeating it.... which we seem to do over and over again.
I had a photograph from a former paratrooper who obtained it at Berchtesgaden. A photo with Hoffman, Munich on the reverse. It had a handwritten signed inscription below a sitting Hitler wearing a double breasted suit. I gave it to a famous British historian who specialized with Hitler during his tenure in office. He said it was a birthday greeting.
Interesting artifacts. There is always some ambivalence in my mind about collecting Nazi artifacts. My minty K98K is a postwar Czech manufactured example to avoid Nazi markings. Ironically those markings would make the rifle more valuable on the collectors market.
I haven't gotten into autographed items. I imagine they're pricey. I picked up a few paper items from the museum store a while ago. One of Adolph's calling cards, one of Eva's calling cards and a Reichstag Referendum ballot are some of the items.
I had a hitler youth knife i bought off a friend, i had no idea what it was, i just liked knives, growing up the English countryside it was common for kids to have knifes, and you could buy anything back in the 70's from certain shops etc, my dad took it to work and threw it in a skip, i was really angry, its inly after my mother explained to me what it was, that i understood. I wouldn't have a nazi item in my house now same reason i wouldn't have anything satanic....evil bad luck just waiting to happen
I have a picture of my grandma Essman's cousins in nazi uniforms. When we joined the war, they never spoke to her again. Wish I could share the picture here so someone could tell me what branch and rank they were. I still have nazis in my family, but they go by a different name now. Why do people refuse to learn from history?
Another very interesting film. But I need to correct Eric on Rudolf Hess. He flew to Scotland and parachuted onto a farm near Eaglesham. He was arrested and taken to London. His motive for doing this was to have a meeting with the Duke of Hamilton, who he believed was a prominent opponent of the British governments war policy. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the content.
I really love the Gettysburg museum. I’m from Penna. anyway I watch all the videos. Please forgive me but I will say the music in the background was highly irritating Too loud and it was over Eric speaking sometimes.
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us. Ecclesiastes 1:9-10 KJV

Very cool stuff. Love the AH Christmas card and the golden party badges. That screw back badge is incredible. Another good unboxing.

Absolutely outstanding! Despise the ideology, but treasure the historical artifacts. Thank you so much for sharing!

You’re too superstitious 😂

sad that some don't learn, and even sadder that some follow that same type of ideology today!
What name would that be. ??
Democrats?
Please elaborate...
Intimidation, lawfare, anti free speech, anti capitalist, anti religious liberty, pro violence…
Hey Jennifer, too many boxes = job security 😊
Fantastic box openings... I would really like some of those items in my collection - particularly the NSDAP golden badge set .
There’s a pretty good flick with Cillian Murphy about Operation Anthropoid
No thank you, I wouldn't even want to re-gift it. For a Museum? Yes. For my home? No!!!
Interesting artifacts but I wouldn’t have them on display unless it was in a museum.

Unfortunately the ideology wasn't defeated and still exist today. Here in our own country.
At least the Demorats were defeated at the ballot box this time!🎉
Sell the christmas card.......how does hess hang himself in prison? He was to weak. The british killed him. He was the only inmate left in spandau.
The most lied about human in history
