Very good update , this work was pending long time due to land acquisition but ,work is going fast . Even some places near adambakkam station 2 buildings needs to be demolished and then work will start.

How the track line 1 and line 5 join in alandur and how it's seperate from st. Thomas mount station thats confusing.
Either they lay new pillars and track for line 5

But what is the need to construct a new St.Thomas mount station next to the existing one if the two lines (Corridor 2 and 5) are connecting as they head into the existing St. Thomas mount station? I ask because I read that they will not be constructing a new St.Thomas mount station for Phase-2. If that is the case, what are those pillars being constructed next to the existing St. Thomas mount station for? Anyone?

bro why line 5 is not connect in existing stmount railway station and why build it the new staton in parallel..,if they connecgt existing station the new station cost is saved and easy to connection when the same strech to sollingallur to centrel it easy to pasengers
