Agree Bologna is wonderful both to stay and to live, few things i liked, Bologna is on the European list of medieval cities, also a student city, so many young people and good night life, i also liked that it is left oriented city along with Livorno, the square and the towers give an amazing feel to the city, the people are welcoming, we struggled to find the accommodation, the first ones we ran into helped us find our way around, I liked what I saw at the train station itself which was the parked bikes, that means that in the city itself, bicycles are prevalent, of course, not to forget the food, which was excellent and delicious, for the sake of the arches, wherever it rains, not a drop falls, it is a wonderful feeling.
We are just back from Bologna, we loved it, your recommendations are spot on. We traveled by train to most of the big cities including Rome easily from Bologna.
So much to love about Bologna with an exception to the air pollution! Check your weather app to see Bologna is RED!!! Some things can be tolerated or altered but air pollution is not one of them.
These two cities are quite different but also similar in so many ways (international community, size…). I have a video coming up this Thursday where I’ll talk about both, so stay tuned!
Both are great, both have quite big airports, and you can easily travel from both places. It depends on what are you looking for, maybe where you can find a job (if you need any here), and just the general vibe of the city.. I have a video about Verona too, check it out! ruclips.net/video/JCX5hDXSGXY/видео.html
I'm not glad to tell you that is quite expensive... but if start to look around early you'll find some great offers. I warn you: it's gonna take you much time away😁👍 anyway I think it's worth it😉
@@DramaticallyExpaticthat’s more expensive than I thought. It’s less than 400€ here in Périgueux, France (I pay 380€ + commodities for a 44 square meters). However I want to move to Italy, so I guess will have to bit the bullet. Good vlog by the way.
Hi, the two cities are very different, and it's quite difficult to compare them. I'd recommend you to visit both and spend some time there if you're interested in moving!
Ciao Valeria! Do you have any insight as to the amount of university curriculum that is necessarily in-person? I’m interested in a psychology course in Cesena but would like to live in Bologna-this would only be feasible if the bulk of the curriculum were to be online-Cheers, and grazie! 😄🙏
Hi Matthew! It depends on each course/degree to be honest: some have mandatory attendance, others do not require you to attend. You're usually considered an attending student if you attend a total of 70-80% of classes (most classes will be held around 2-3 times a week). I can say from my experience that it's totally possible to pass an exam without attending (usually you'll have a slightly different program to prepare, like 1 or 2 extra textbooks); I personally prefer to study on my own, and my degree doesn't have the mandatory attendance. I recommend you to check the requirements for the classes that you're interested in taking!
If you're a San Fransisco city resident and want to get away from the dump that it has become, Bologna is perfect for you, great gastronomy and plenty of fellow communists with whom to enjoy it.

Have you ever danced the whole night in the central square with a hundred or more amazing crazy folks? You can do it in Bologna

Great to hear and thank you so much!

Great video.. makes me want to visit Bologna.
Great video, thanks!!
Thank you, glad you liked it!
Enjoying your videos. I loved my visit to Bologna. I hope you make one of Rome soon, the smaller, more interesting aspects of the city.
Thank you! Absolutely, I'd love to shoot a video in Rome ☺️
Totally agreed.
Thank you. I have never visited. How does Bologna cimpare to Florence for living?

How does Bologna compare to Verona. Because I was thinking of living in Italy after college, and I am thinking of choosing between Verona and Bologna.

Unfortunately it became super expensive
What is the rent like? I’m on a small budget. Small clean doesn’t have to be in the city center. How did you get a video or residency?

Rent depends on what you're looking for. Most studio apartments start at around 650-700 € per month, utilities excluded

I thought food would be the #1 reason, it's that superlative.
