Black gay men are not supporting DaBaby in droves. Look at the audience supporting him. I’m pro-black woman all day, but what can we do when they’re twerking and rapping along? If you support it, you like it. That’s my issue. The LGBTQ community usually is very selective about support. Black women need ti do the same. Stop going to the shows, stop streaming, stop it all. That’s how it ends. You can’t complain about getting disrespected if YOU continue to support him. If the LGBTQ community and black women come together to END him, then he can continue to do music for the audience that love to tear each other apart and will self destruct on their own. And that's interesting because people equate being black and being gay. It's absolutly not the same because gay people can hide it as it's a private behaviour nobody needs to know. So if you want to live in peace just keep your stuffs for yourself. Meanwhile you can't hide being black...

its the "I dont want to be a part of the black community" for me. I used to feel that so much, but we all have some unlearning to do. I even used to say my skin color is brown not black but when I started RUclips I always make sure to refer to myself as black. I grew up in an all white town and I just wanted to fit in, but when I started RUclips..whew chille from getting hate from black women when i started with hair video to getting hate on fitness videos from black men. It was always clear that i'm unwanted in every community.

Actually, he went after them his sophomore album and his third album was his highest selling one so his career actually continued to sky rocket. Em’s career went down cause of his recovering from drug addiction and just taking a break from music after a couple deaths of ppl in his camp. But, I do see the point you were making.

  • @mwright0428

It’s really sad that these comments are the ones that get this conversation going. But to Claudia’s point, black women have been getting this for years. I agree with Q in the sense of just wanting out. We get it from everyone else and each other. And it’s not just DaBaby, it’s any black person man or woman with the power of a massive audience that seeks to divide all in the name of money. Unfortunately we all get painted with the same brush and as long as I’m the complexion I am, I have to fight for my agency and my individualism to black men. It’s exhausting.
