I was very very shock when news came out that United was willing to sign Antony from Ajax for £85m and will pay him a salary for more than £200k per week. Ten Hag reccommended him and United was so damn stupid to believe him. Not only Antony but also Martinez who is the shortest CB in the premier league and also others like Malacia and Casemiro who obviously sign for United to enjoy his early retirement. In the last 5 years United signed many low substandard players. Cant Understand why the United Board just accepted Ten Hag's reccommendations without doing any research. United must quickly do the correct thing and that is to sack Ten Hag as quickly as possible. Any manager United brings in now will definitely be a hundred times better than Ten Hag.
Antony was a gem at Ajax and he was putting Europe on notice with his CL performances two seasons ago. I thought we'd hit the jackpot when we signed him and I honestly didn't give AF about the price, but it hasn't worked out and that's putting it mildly. I always feel like a player can do more to improve themselves but he hasn't been helped by the shitshow at United nor his own off-field issues. I'm reluctant to write him off because of how much we've invested in him but apparently Ineos are willing to take the loss, so if they are, let's move him on as soon as possible.
Arsenal got the best player from AJAX in Timber. Showed more quality in half a game than Antony has in all his time at MUFC. Head and shoulders above Martinez as well and he will be a huge boost to Arsenal.
Antony of the first 6 months was positive and with potential. Some good goals, some vital goals even. Post Liverpool humiliation like most of the squad a downward spiral. Personal problems DO affect players. He hasnt adapted his game and he hasnt been well coached. So, Antony of the last 12 months has been a DISASTER. I do hope he can get back to his first 6 months but i think he is too weak and one dimensional to be top class in the EPL. A move to Spain or back to Holland seems wise for this lad
Rangnick said it perfectly, you have to have at least a 50% success rate in the transfer market! Signing the wrong players in consecutive transfer windows will ruin a club!!!!! United are way below a 50% success rate in every transfer window under Woodward. I’d say the more recent ones have been slightly better but the damage has been done for years!
He's got this incredible spin that he does when there is no one within 5 yards of him - it's amazing, problem is it makes him dizzy and he spends the rest of the game trying to get his head right.
Yes he have a bad season BUT he was signed to help us play Ajax football not a counter attack football! It's on ten Hag that ! He gave up on his philosophy and adjusted to players like Bruno and Rashford and Antony is the opposite of Rashford
Signed by Arsenal in 2019 at the age of 18, not many knew the name of Martinelli, a footballer born in the city of Guarulhos whose talents had been noticed by fellow countryman Edu. The Gunners paid a mere fee of £6m
Middlesbrough, once bought a Brazilian striker who was the top scorer in Holland and I think he only got a few goals and was sold on scoring goals in Holland is very different to the premiership
After the first few games every defender in the prem already knew what he was going to do. Fullbacks in the prem are a totally different level to the Dutch league
Antony is a shadow of the player he was before he came to Manchester United. It isn’t just because he was playing at a lower level. He was absolutely unstoppable sometimes. I’m not sure what factors caused his absolute decline but they are obviously multiple. One of the factors for sure is the toxic sarcasm of English fans when he showboated. I think he’s done here though because the psychological weight is too much now and the criticism is too heavy. I don’t read replies in case anybody has some hate stored up for anybody with a different opinion. LUHG!
Don't know what you've been watching I've seen footage of him for Ajax he was as bad there as he's been for United he's an absolute joke with a spiteful childish attitude kicking out at defenders when they take the ball off him a sending off waiting to happen 😢😢
@@MartinCrossdale Well yes, I watched a lot of Ajax games and saw him play well, so we seem to have different perceptions. Remember when Erik Ten Hag made that comment about how he's like Robben? I'm staying to think he meant how both of their careers are essentially over 😂
The deal was done between Erik ten Hag and Van der Sar, in favour of Ajax, not Manchester United. This business against Man Utd and Ten Hag will have to answer.
Anyone playing on the right hand side suffers. Our team focus is to play down the left and basically feed rashford and praying he does something amazing. Sad but I think it's just not going to work. Always loved Antony and been so desperate for it to work, doesn't look likely unfortunately.
@@Photosoflife I totally agree. Whether or not Eth stays long enough to build that type of system is the question now.
West Ham's two best transfers were from the Eredivise, add from the same club as Antony. Kudus and Alvarez have been incredible
Biggest mistake wasn't the price tag it was the 200k a week wages
when you think the likes of Szoboszlai & Nunez earn only 100k at Liverpool
World Cup winner Alvarez at man City earns 100k per week and Doku 50k
Tells everything about man utd
@@prajyotraikar28alvarez is overrated benchwarmer
about time this video was made. he has been fucking terrible, I'd rather have Dan James back! or fucking BEBE!
Tbh its funny to see some fans mocked nunez even jackson for their miss when they had Anthony 😂
The Eredivisie and Premier league are at completely different levels just because someone's good at Ajax doesn't mean they'll be good at United
Doesn’t Ten Hag’s agent also get involved in the united squad transfers?
Yes same agency! Ten Hag is in for a massive pay when they sack him!
Sick of hearing the same copy and paste insult of calling him a fidget spinner when he literally done his spin once and the press destroyed him for it
Looking like there is a way back 😂😂😂
Arsenal got the best player from AJAX in Timber. Showed more quality in half a game than Antony has in all his time at MUFC. Head and shoulders above Martinez as well and he will be a huge boost to Arsenal.
Turn him to a left back.
Remember the tranformation of Valencia?
Antony of the first 6 months was positive and with potential. Some good goals, some vital goals even.
Post Liverpool humiliation like most of the squad a downward spiral. Personal problems DO affect players. He hasnt adapted his game and he hasnt been well coached. So, Antony of the last 12 months has been a DISASTER. I do hope he can get back to his first 6 months but i think he is too weak and one dimensional to be top class in the EPL. A move to Spain or back to Holland seems wise for this lad
I honestly wish we had Kingsley Coman all this time.... would have cost less than Antony and would probably give you 6 chances a game
Coman's injury prone tho he'd miss 80% of the games in the PL
Just notice there is no more match reactions outside the stadium after a match
Man Utd desperately need Mudryk. He's definitely the missing piece in the jigsaw
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
bloody hell what drugs have you taken. mudryk the messing piece? were missing about 9 pieces at the very least, he'd be as useful as a paper straw
Broken jigsaw
united's already in the mudryk.
Yes Mark, he is a flop
The drop off from bruno since his first season is just as ridiculous. We don't have one world class player
No right foot? Hahaha this didn’t age well
5 months later how well lol
He's got this incredible spin that he does when there is no one within 5 yards of him - it's amazing, problem is it makes him dizzy and he spends the rest of the game trying to get his head right.
Yes he have a bad season BUT he was signed to help us play Ajax football not a counter attack football! It's on ten Hag that ! He gave up on his philosophy and adjusted to players like Bruno and Rashford and Antony is the opposite of Rashford
Thanks for supporting Anthony , wish we had signed for initial 35M
The Human Fidget Spinner: Antony!
He’s great at standing on a ball and going around and around. Skills!
Anthony is like RObben
give him time.
Trust me when Antony pulls his socks up the fans gonna be shocked
I think the style of football heavily affects his game, Antony can’t play counter attack at all. He’s bad but plays much better in a pep style system
@@Photosoflifedefinitely he’s a possesion based player like sancho he would do well in a system that’s more possession based then counter attacking
He doesn't really carry the ball forward or dribble past players, he stops, shakes his leg then passes it. The defenders just look on like 'so what'.
One probably of tenhag is squad rotation....secondly his buys not forgetting favourism
Signed by Arsenal in 2019 at the age of 18, not many knew the name of Martinelli, a footballer born in the city of Guarulhos whose talents had been noticed by fellow countryman Edu. The Gunners paid a mere fee of £6m
Funny how eth thought his x ajax players would somehow be able to adjust to the premier league specially at a team like utd
Bergkamp came from inter, so played in what was probably the best league in Europe at the time
Antony’s problem is he slows down the play every time he gets the ball. I don’t think this would happen if he played on the left.
He was NEVER a 85mil player. He wasn't even 50, he is brasilian and that's his price.
Middlesbrough, once bought a Brazilian striker who was the top scorer in Holland and I think he only got a few goals and was sold on scoring goals in Holland is very different to the premiership
Manchester United need to be much much quicker at realising that a player just isnt going to work out. European clubs will want him, so cash in
After the first few games every defender in the prem already knew what he was going to do. Fullbacks in the prem are a totally different level to the Dutch league
Lovely video mark you should do this more often... Get the person that makes your thumbnails a raise as well
Antony is a shadow of the player he was before he came to Manchester United.
I actually like his fire though nowadays, not a lot of players have it, but also it’s the only thing I do like about him; he’s so terrible for United that I hope he can find a new club.
Remember when Erik Ten Hag made that comment about how he's like Robben? I'm staying to think he meant how both of their careers are essentially over 😂
The fact that Ten Hag was so adamant he wanted him makes me realise that he too underestimated the premier league...
You could see in the last match that Bruno and other players were looking to get the ball to rashford ti the detriment of others in better positions. Is this ten hag tactics or poor decision making from players. Was an issue pre ETH too
