You can also set resolution to this custom one before starting PUBG.
Then u will be able to chose it in PUBG.
Then tab out to desktop and change resolution back.
As long as you dont select another resolution in PUBG, it will stay that way.

Did you mean that I could leave my nvdia control panel setting to my standard resolution 1920p and still play on 1720 on pubg cuz 1720 make an inch or so on the sides of my 27 inch monitor
Is it necessary to enter to the pubg folders in the last step or its just enough to make it from nvidia contorl panel and it appears from the game
any1 know why custom resolutions dont show ingame anymore ? i even put gameusersetting as read only and the custom resolution still doesnt appear ingame...
resolution only appears ingame if i select No Scaling in nvidia control pannel at desktop size and position, if i put it on full screen it automatically sets my resolution to 1920x1080

I do as you say it in your tutorial but everytime I start pubg it rewrites the GamerUserSettings file and it goes back to 1920x1080, what am I doing wrong?

once you open PUBG you can go back into your control panel and change it back to the desired res

hello when ever i alt tab i get that black screen loading all the time is that normal? becasue when i was aat 1920x1080. it ddnt have that black screen 1 second load time.

Because when u alt Tab resolution must change to native resolution of your monitor so it's normal.

What recording software u used? I'm using nvidia highlights and using this res but the video r not full screen
I record with Geforce Experience. I'm guessing the reason your videos aren't coming out in full screen is due to the way your're exporting the video with your video editing software... assuming you use one.
@@renickulous4674 i also use GeForce experience recording but my original video (not the montage video) left side and right side have black bars...
i tried this and this is going to sound like dumb but i play on a laptop and it didn't work is there anyway to fix that?
KrAzy_ Hmm, I’m not sure how it would work with a laptop. My guess is it should work the same as a desktop pc. If it doesn’t work then I’m not exactly sure how to fix it.

guys i have a 144hz monitor and if i make this custom res it instantly drop my hz to 120hz in game dont you know why? and yes i made it to 144hz in radeon

I tried it and it does work but when in game i still have black bars at the bottom and top of the screen as if the resolution isnt covering the whole screen , anyone knows how to fix that ?

Assuming you're using Nvidia, you have to go to "Adjust desktop size and position" and pick the "full screen" scaling mode. I think at least that's the place that fixes it, give it a go and let me know if its correct so i don't go around giving wrong advice.
Edit: btw, in the lobby you'll have black bars, but ingame it will stretch once you started (as he points out at the end of the video)

Marc Jerald I think you have to set 1728x1080 in obs. That or you have to make the image fit the screen. I’m fairly unfamiliar with OBS so googling how to fix it may be better help than I am.
Change the game capture resolution, force scale to 1920x1080 or 1280x720, thank me later

MR DEVIL You’re the first person that has had this problem. I’m honestly not sure what could be causing it. A simple change to your resolution definitely shouldn’t effect the ability to save your highlights. You didn’t accidentally disable it by chance did you?

Make sure your pc resolution is set to 1728x1080 in your Nvidia Control Panel whenever you load up PUBG for the first time. If it doesn't work maybe go to google and search for another way to do it. The steps should be the same though.
Also make sure in the GameUserSettings file (found at 3 minutes 15 seconds) that you change your resolution setting there as well.

@@kasamilee2852 I figured it out. It’s enough to the custom resolution to the Nvidea Control panel and to have your normal pc resolution still on the what ever monitor resolution you have. In my case. 1920x1080. Then change the PubG cofiq resolution to 1728x1080 on booth settings. It works just fine.
@@LyroLife wait what? i changed my control panel res to 1728 then changed it for pubg as well. it still did not work. btw I got those black screens on the side of my monitor as soon as I run 1728 res from my panel.

I was just re reading through these comments and I believe I made a mistake when I told you that the conversion would be 971*768. I think the correct number should be 1230*768. Try that out instead.

You don’t even need to change the .ini file. Just do the steps in Nvidia Control Panel and it’ll appear in PUBG.

Didn’t work for me, I even changed the .ini file and it doesn’t show up in a selection for custom resolutions, I even checked read only in the .ini file and it doesn’t work, nvidia is also set at my 1680x1080 , confused as why it won’t show up as an option in game, any help ?

Yes, you can make any resolution you want. Just input those values (1280x1024) instead of the 1728x1080 values that I walked you through in this video.
@@renickulous4674 yes, but when i change resolution in nvidia and document in folder with pubg. I start pubg and i have 1280x1024 resolution like 10 seconds, and after pubg intro, monitor change again to 1920x1080
