And about Lyra and Bonbon's canon names: Lyra is the real canon name but Bonbon's canon name is Sweetie Drops (as her REAL name in this episode). The reason why she's called Bonbon is because she has the same cutie mark as someone called Bonbon in My Little Pony Tales and therefore did the fandom give her that name. I like the fact that M.A Larson did it a way that both names are kinda canon :P

But, even within those constraints, we still get his facination with Time, Alon'se, 4th doctor's scarf, and british accent. They would not have the house splitted like that if they were sisters (precisely because they are NOT family [nor lovers either], they had to abide to each others rules instead of eventually reaching a middle ground through a succession of endless fights. The house was probably in need of repairs when they rent it together but they could not decide how to do it [since neither of them seem to have a talent on construction each one did what they wanted on their half].
As soon as Derpy closes the door, leaving the main reasons out why we love the show, the door behind you and DHX is closed to hear what they have to say to you. So if you want to know what DHX is trying to tell us, listen to the Mayors wedding speech as if it wasn't about the wedding of Donkey and Mathilda but about the celebration of MLP and that its not dedicated to the background ponies, but to all the Bronies out there. Wait you were burnt out a bit. Huh no wonder you gave "make new friends but keep discord, and the lost treasure of griffonstone" the scores you gave them, because both of those episodes are loved by fans, but whatever glad you enjoyed the episode.
From a technical writing standpoint, this episode is a bit unfocused and messy. And I could not possibly care less, because this episode is just a big flashing neon sign saying *WE LOVE YOU GUYS!* from the show runners to us, and that fixes any minor gripes
I am sorry, but Octavia is just to over-the-top for me. I don't like it. Also, M.A. Larson has to write an entire episode about the background characters. He ends it with a Mane 6 group hug.
There not gonna have Lyra and Bonbon be together because then they would be supporting lesbians. I completely support lesbians but the show would have a lot of problems if they did say it was love and not friendship.
