For those of you that are wondering why the cadre instructor held his nose at 6:15, it's a technique taught at Pre-dive school to prevent rapid water inhalation upon initial water entry. It's just one of those safety techniques so that in case you don't have dive gear you won't resurface flopping all over the place, choking for air because you have water blocking your airways. Additionally, so you can't be heard resurfacing in potentially austere environments.
Usually that "guy" who always last in everything, who always late in finish everything, and who always complain about everything is the one who will do 20 years of service. The reason is that "guy" has evolved and adapted. He did not ETS out as a good guy like the majority of those try hard, he stayed long enough to see himself becoming the bad guy.

Making grunts, the telltale sign of the anaerobic exercise that is common in the field isn't really something you can hear from 50m away much less 100m. If someone is within 100m of you they aren't really a "sniper" at that point. Modern snipers, and even snipers going back to ww2 and before, shoot from long distances. Too far away to hear sounds like muffled grunting. Maybe if you were shouting in a place that reflected sound like an urban environment it would be an issue. On a windy day, in a small village or field who cares if you grunt a little. It won't attract "snipers"

The Air Force has the Combat Weather Specialist and the Special Operations Weather Technician (SOWT) which is seen training here. Weather plays an extremely important role in flights, troop movements, and even day to day operations and these career fields demand excellence

That felt like a movie. Nice little story about how smith overcame the disregard of his drill instructors and proved how he really wanted to be a Special Op Weatherman. What a great and refreshing story. Deserves oscar for best documentary
