    This concept might be new in Singapore, but is very common in cities like Saigon, where home-based cafes (or even restaurant) is a common scene in the city.

      Trung Nguyen coffee have a few cafes in SG about ten years back but closed all but one after owners divorce

    I certainly wouldn't go to a HDB flat, collect a cup of coffee, and then just leave, unless the coffee is really great.
    Interesting concept, though.

      most of these are run from landed houses (which these people's parents bought as the family home). having money helps you make more money...

    Ha ha. What would HDB think? Will HDB repossed the cafe owners flat? For private property owners, what would IRA think? Even buskers need license! Think 3 times, my dear friends.

      ​@@davidvergieSFA website says its allowed. HDB also says you can sell food from your house as long as you follow some regulations like not selling on food delivery apps
