Oh yea man good job on picking this this is a great beginner and pro drone it is spectacular for what your getting just don’t crash it its expensive and dji service is shit and do your updates
I spoiled myself with this at Best Buy and w/out much option to just get the drone on its own, I was forced to buy the "Fly More Combo", but I'm all the more grateful for it. It has made doing Panoramic shots much easier and the ability to zoom in on video w/out doing it in post is super awesome! I'm now a proud owner of both Mavic Mini 1 & 2 and I'll be sure to use the Mavic Mini as extended ways of getting extra footage should I go on trips etc.
this is the model i chose for starting out on video drone for the first time didnt want a monster drone, nor a cheap lightly made one either. guy where i bought it does this type thing all the time, and he helped me out quite a bit. I always wanted one just to mess around with. I also bought a gopro 8. I was so tired of messing with the iphone video when you try to get a landscape video and its sideways, and cant figure out how to straighten it out lol. my drone and its equipment show up on the first of June 2022. I took the time to buy it now as our family home of 71+ years is going on auction because of a death in the family. i thought my making a video with these things would be great memories for all of us. Im a gamer and i video the game i play all the timer. we will see how well i transition to this. Great video!

I'm waiting for the range test on the mini 2. Whenever you do such range tests, I gain confidence. I'm not convinced that the mini 2 would be good for harsh conditions. If you upload a range test, I'm sure I'll get one.

But I am having a hard time finding out how to down load the video & send it to my folks in Texas. SkiPixel seems to take hours ? Then if I get lucky I will get one 5+ minute clip & I want to send the whole 20+ minute video? What am I doing wrong? Is there a easy way? Yeah this drones Fricken Awsome Dude! Took it 6.7 miles around trip!!!!
@@jamessheehy2839 it depends if your sending the video over text or email because the max size is like 3-5 minutes over text but email can handle much longer times however it can take a bit

I must say Dustin the whole reason why I got my mini 2 is because of this video, I found out the hard way this drone can take a punch, I was showing off to my wife and a friend came in too hot hit the side of my house above the garage, fell 9 ft landed upside down, surprisingly it kept running, one of the rear legs folded up my wife did not realize, cut her finger badly trying to pick it up. I contacted DJI to ask why the drone does not shut off after a crash they said it does not. I broke one propeller all the others were scratched so I replaced all of them. After going through three more batteries the drone is still flawless, remarkable!
@@DustinDunnill Yes, it is very sturdy it seems so tiny and delicate, when I watched in horror the crash take place I thought it was a goner, thankfully not! The wife thought she would need stitches but it's been a week and she's healing quite nicely,, I also purchased a parrot Bebop 2 because of your video flying out to sea to the rock formation and then up and down the coast of Maui, you're very blessed to live in a spectacular location, thank you for the awesome content, all the best to you.
I like that they left off the "Mavic" or any other nomenclature and stuck to 'Mini', less confusing. When I was looking for a first drone it made it easier to choose, knew that this was the one under 250grams and not subject to FFA registration. Great drone so far, perfect entry level model for someone that just wants to fly - extremely pleased with it so far.

i have multiple USB C chargers (other end is USB A) with a brick that has 2 USB A ports if its connected to 1 electrical outlet. will i be able to charge my controller and batteries at the same time
Im from uk i took my new mini 2 back today kept losing signal at less then half mile away! Thought i lost it for 2 minutes then it came back on🤪got to say its very smooth and fast for small drone, just wish i didnt get the signal problem i hope they solve the problem then i will purchase a new one again!!
Yes, this obvious problem has stopped me getting one too... Thanks to the EU, they have ruined this as well with their Stuffed Shirt jobsworth rules again .
I think it's a big mistake for DJI to not supply you with review samples, Your by far the only reviewer in these things I Pay any attention to at all and this doesn't look good for them.
Like the review! Just got this mini 2 a few days ago. It does seem to save photos and videos to the DJI album on the phone (I'm on Android) without an SD card. Found this out because my SD cards are still in the mail. I think the file resolution is lower than with the card, but you can still play with the camera. Thanks again.
If you think about it. It does come with two USB C cables. The one you took out for your phone, couldn't you plug that into your PC and charge the remote like that? You would just need a mini USB C port on your PC which most have them now and if you have a mac then it has one for sure. Right?

Question... at 19:16 can you charge the controller by plugging it into the output on the the battery charging case while at the same time plugging the case in? In a sense charging the batteries and the controller at the same time.

you can charge your controller and your batteries at the same time. You need to plug your controller into the battery pack from the USB A port that is on the 2 way charger. They do not supply a cable to do this but you can use any usb C cable. I use the one from my phone to go from the wall to my batteries, then I use the little one DJI supplied to go from the batteries to the controller.
4.4v/cell?! That's freaking terrifying. I've never seen LiHV that high. Those batteries are not going to last very long at all. I hope they aren't very expensive. I haven't finished watching the review yet as of typing, but I'm glad I rediscovered your channel after several years away and out of the RC hobby. Dang, I've been gone a while, the app looks completely different.
