This led me on to a good leaving cert, a science degree, and secure, well paid, and interesting employment for the last 40 years. If you see all the logo's of the huge international companies here and in the west generally they all display the rainbow colours but the same companies don't display these colours on their logo in Arab countries, rainbow for us but not for them, I wonder why .

Now when I went to school all of those years ago, I finished in 1976, we focused on covering the curriculum. This led me on to a good leaving cert, a science degree, and secure, well paid, and interesting employment for the last 40 years. School now looks like it will set the students up for minimum wage jobs or a life on benefits!

Many people in their 40s and older didn't know about all the genders and preferences being taught to schoolchildren until recently. Some of us only learned about the birds and the bees in biology class at secondary school. Such innocence seemed backwards at the time compared to the rest of Europe but these days I look upon it with nostalgia.
Well ill tell you now after visiting many european cities and just back from one at the weekend they all come across to me as seedy places no feel of a particular culture due to so much "diversity" i couldnt wait to get home and and interact with some irish with manners behind a counter rather than eyrolling and distain I witnessed abroad. Give me backwards any day if it means decency respect courtesy and good manners values to hold dear.
