For me Soundshed only started working on PC after the last firmware update for Spark Mini and Spark 40. Before that I could not connect Spark BLE to my PC through Bluetooth. The bluetooth was upgraded from version 1.89 to 1.90
Thanks for the review! I use the PC desktop app for the same reason as you. However, I find my PC app to be a bit wonky - it'll drop the BT connection every so often. Sometimes the tone search stop working (you can't focus the keyboard on the search bar). All in all, small complaints, as it is sporadic. Hopefully PG will release an official app for Windows.
I would guess it does! PG reached out to me to use one of my vids for their marketing so I asked for a mini. Oddly enough I haven’t heard back from them!
There are some settings for midi/pc keyboard input as well to change amp channel! Those are on a settings tab on pc, prob in the app for mac file>settings? Web amp and stand alone works fine for me on PC
Hi, at the 12 minute mark you loaded the Fender Clean 2 tone, and then the amp tab showed that patch. I can't get that to happen with mine. I can load the tone, but the amp tab still shows 1 of the 4 presets that is on. Hence you can load and use a patch, but can never actually edit it in my Soundshed app. Any ideas? Thank you.
Can not get it to connect to my Spark amp. Using a Mac Mini. I have bluetooth keyboard and mouse so it may interfere but so far, with numerous tries I cannot connect
I assume its not possible to do the thing where you play along with Spotify or RUclips and it analyses the song and gives you the suggested chords as you play? Is that on the official mobile and tablet app only?
@@cleverdood I read the deets...no good with Safari..atleast on MacOS Catalina...I did get to work using Chrome....didn't get to adjust effects but reset reset and Bluetooth keep messing with you get functionality....pity the bt audio out doesn't play to Spark...for backing tracks. .getting better tho I'd say.

Good review! This looks like a great effort by the developers to provide a much requested feature that PG don't seem to want to make.
So glad I came across your video. Like you, I am almost always at a computer when playing and this is something I have wanted since I got this amp.

Very interesting! Thank you for the heads-up on this! Experimental effects sounds like a cool feature, and hoping PG add more features going forward.
Thankyou very much for this video..I was going crazy trying to get this this software on pc.Soundshed was the answer and it works great..Again Thanks
Great video, my only suggestion is make your Screen smaller.
Thanks for the review. Does this work with Spark Mini. Mine is on the way!

Thanks! I will try it out when it arrives.

Is there a way to change volume (either master or output using the desktop app? The master dial on the amp doesn't do anything.

Compiled app works on a PC. On a PC that won't run a web version btw.

Cool to see Linux love!

Correct
how do i save things to the amp? I'm using the windows app, and after pairing for a while it's not even doing that anymore.
wondering if it might not have been as hinky if you used Safari...
just a thought. I use Google mostly on my Macbook anyway.
I’ll try that. I haven’t checked it in a while so I wonder if he’s updated it lately

Sound shed is all I use personally.
It doesn't seem to work anymore on the latest MAC OS. I tried a couple weeks ago after I got my new Mac and it won't detect the Spark anymore. :-(
@@cleverdood I'll revisit that, is this an M1 Mac or Intel?
@@ChristopherCookGuitar it's the M1 Pro

Will this work with the new Spark 2 ?
nope. I just tested it with my Spark 2. It'll connect, but changing stuff in the app didn't change anything.
this thing doesnt recognize the mini yet right?
yes, I does according to their site. I haven't tried this app in a while, might do another update on it to see what's changed.
