If I Had a Heart is one of my very favorite songs ever! It's so dark but I love it. It reminds me of the morrigan. Thanks for sharing your wisdom on runes Cricketsong :) I made a set of these witches runes from crayloa's air dry clay. I carved the images in and painted the indentation white. They turn out great! Nice & hard - not like a rock, but very hard

Sarah, it is my personal opinion that when drawing a symbol that has been draw a particular way for an extend period of time it aligns with the vibration of all those who have used and currently the same symbol. Much like the idea of a sigil. So I would suggest you do some research and find images of Witches' Runes to find out which symbols are used and find ones that you personally align with.
But it has EVERYTHING to do with Witches' Runes.

I'm interested in making my own set of runes, and I'm wondering if there's a certain way that the symbols have to be drawn. For example, does the eye I draw have to look exactly like the one on your runes, or does it just have to be an eye?

Cast A Stone is in my town, fantastic shop, amazing owners. My Wife and myself frequent the store front monthly! so funny that I came across a video 7 years later that mentions them! they hand make all their runes.

ok, I looked at them, they are newer, I see your meaning. When I started using runes there was little to no info out there on anything. I learned from my grandmother 30 years ago to devine. I used the viking runes for spell work and other things including devination. I am looking at the witch sets now as a possible new venture but seams there are a few versions, most being tied to wicca, I'm not wiccian. What set do you use in the witch sets?

Cheaminks , sometimes runic sigils are made by overlapping two or more runes. That looks like what you have going on there.

Its funny but you say Runes originated in Europe when ive just finished watching a video saying that they came from denmark over 1,000 years ago.

I absolutely love this set of runes! I've never seen such a beautiful set before and they highly resonate with me. I am so excited to see them! :D I've been wanting to buy or make a set recently (I originally wanted to make a set out of tree bark but that idea didn't stick with me for long). I haven't been as interested in runes as divination until a few months ago. I have been learning more about them as a tool as I've reflected about bringing them into my practice. Where did you get these? I would love to get this set. The black color coupled with the symbols is amazingly stunning! Thanks! :)

I know some individuals who have runes on their body so I see no issue with it. Just be sure you know what you're getting tattooed and what the meanings are.

What does it mean if your runes land sideways? How would you read that?
Priscilla W That's going to depend on your personal practice. I would encourage you to decide what it means for you as there are a few ways that you can read a sideways rune.

This is a very late response to you, Gabriel, but I thought it may be helpful to anyone else who is wondering about the movie title.. The scene is from a movie called Stardust. It's on Netflix right now!
was there ever an unknown rune?And when you receive three runes in a dream what am I suppose do with them.
Within the Witches' Runes there is no unknown rune, but I cannot answer whether or not there is in the futhark.
Back in the 1980's a guy who really didn't know much about runes wrote a very popular book about them & added a blank or "mystery" rune. It is meaningless, & was never a part of any traditional rune row. If you get a FUTHARK with a blank, don't use it in readings, but you can set it aside to fill in if you lose one.
As for the runes that come to you in dreams, I would suggest that you read the rune poems for each of them, the Norse, Icelandic, Anglo-Saxon, and try to determine, using your own instincts, how they apply to your life & current situation, or any questions that you may be pondering. Hope this helps.

Witches Runes seem so limited in prediction and meaning.

Why people are continually adding to the vast stores of mis-information on the internet is beyond me. At the very least you could let people know that you are just generalizing and when referring to "whitch's runes" you are not speaking for all witches. I feel bad for people who are actually trying to sort through people trying to make a buck and those who actually know something about something. Sheesh.
The Witch's Runes are known as witches' runes regardless of whether or not I'm speaking for all witches.
