I have a Eufy security camera, my son has 2 and my daughter has 1 of the same model. I am satisfied with it with only a couple minor glitches but has performed well even at -35C.
My Vosker 300 Ultimate wont even start!! I wish I had found this before I bought one. You are 100% right that there are no negative Vosker reviews in all my research. I got this cam based on all the 'good reviews' and simplicity of not needing to buy a sim card. Now I'm being told to update the firm ware, which means buying a micro SD adapter and then who knows what after that. Should have just bought the REOLINK!
Justin I was told the same for any concerns. The helpline at vosker has not been of any use in my experience as it seems they are reading off a script . My V150 is working but it does not work in the cold weather as last winter it shutoff from Dec to March. I'm working on a fix for the battery and setup my own cell signal booster for it to work. Once I bypass the battery it should be good . I did show how to setup your own cell signal booster and will show how to power it all year so it dosent shutdown during the cold weather.
Happy Holidays Brother Steve, We are waiting For snow, Could you please Send some soon My Friend. lol our ground is still soft for friggs sacks. lmao@@SteveRobReviews
How's she goin'? Sounds like your camera system is a dud eh. The very time you need it to be working is when it quits. Not good. I wouldn't buy this one that's for sure. Thanks for the honest review and take 'er easy!!
Hi Mike Yep its a dud security camera . There are so many glitches with this camera . I'm thinking it's just not up to the task for reliability as far as what I'm seeing. Oh well next spring I will see if it's scrap or not.
Hi Rick I can't recommend it from my experience but I'm sure there are reviewers out there that love it , maybe some that actually used it will comment.
I often wondered how the temperature would affect them. I don't have any problems with my security cameras but my Ring doorbells will alert me to lightning and car lights.
Hi Terry The cold is a challenge but my ring camera works flawlessly year after year and this is about the same price point . Next spring I'll investigate more or just chuck it in the bin :)
That's so aggravating. I only share this as a way to support your frustrations. I have a camera from a different manufacture but I have the same problems. No help at all from the company. I hope you got it figured out.
Hey Steve, oh geez, not good at all for you. Frustrating situation - I’m wondering if this is a connectivity and software update issue - does your cell booster do a reset at midnight? - can you meter the cell signal strength from home? Both cell and satellite signals can be patchy at my camp. Good to see customer support is willing to help solve the issue 👍🏻 - I can recommend Wyze brand of cameras as I own them and they’ve not caused me any issues with connecting and functionality. Hope your camp stays safely locked and secure until spring. Cheers and thanks
I have had this camera on a construction job-site for two years thru all the Mississippi seasons ….. have had NO problems….. I must have gotten lucky ! 🤔
Nice review. Too bad the camera didn't work out in the cold. We have a security system with 720 p cameras and they are getting old. Not great images after about 6 years. You win some and lose some. Good news, there are lots of good buys out there in security systems and cameras. Good luck!
Hi Mike The camera works great until it experiences cold weather. Not sure what failed but it's a dud . The solar panel is quite small and the battery may not last starting in the fall when we see less sun as well as cold weather.
I would suggest this brand if you don't live in a cold climate . Living in a cold climate once the solar panel is covered with snow it shuts down after the battery runs down. I am in the process now of looking at powering the camera not using the onboard battery or solar panel . I imagine all solar charged camera brands suffer from the affects of winter .
Well that stinks. I have a bit of experience with cameras and I’d be suspicious of the sd showing 0% An sd card that is the wrong size, speed, or faulty could cause all kinds of issues. That would be the very first thing I’d address when you can finally make your way up there (unless you take the sledge to it before that) 😂
HAHAHA , well it might just be a one off that happens to this camera but interesting enough I dont see any reviews on the brand that don't look scripted . Let's take a look in the spring.
Glad you posted this Steve. We have been looking into a camera like this and had looked at this particular one. Not sure what we are going to get but this one is crossed off the list for sure.
Well obviously YOU ARE the problem! 🤣🤣 but seriously this camera is not reliable. And now the question is, do you need constant internet connection in order to keep up with firmware updates and so on! Thanks Steve ✌️
Hi Marc The camera showed plenty of signal strength and battery level , just quit working as soon as it got cold . Not sure what happened but it's definitely not a reliable security camera for my needs . Seems all the youtubers reviewing it , love it but did they buy it or get it sent for a free review , test it out during the summer and on to the next sponsored review 😉
I've read where people have left negative reviews and the company offered them $100 to change it. They left it negative and it disappeared. Reviews have gotten like the news. It's all tainted and biased. I'm glad you are an honorable man and can't be bought.
So true Bill. In my view the majority of all reviews of products on youtube are staged for the manufacturer as a bad review makes other manufacturers not interested in a real review only a great review. I see it all the time as channels get free product or get paid for a review only to be told a great review will be the result or no review will be the result. Have you ever seen a tv commercial show how bad a product is 😅 ya youtube is the same for most that do youtube only for the money. There are honest reviewers on youtube but it's hard to tell the difference for many . Cheers
It's very frustrating. And now, no security for your belongings. Vosker needs to improve and field test their products for reliability and for the security of their customers.
We had cameras on the windshiels of our charter buses. Those cameras failed because of condensation inside the camera. They didn't last long. If the camera isn't sealed and nitrogen filled, cold, hot changes make the misture build from humidity leaching in the camera housing. This was a common issue electronics exposed to adverse temperatures.
Well... Clearly the local testing was to have been 2 years so there's that! Too bad there's no "real" technology in play, remote firmware updated would have been nice Maybe someday "she'll wake up" and work perfectly, what are the odds! Great video and I'd sure the manufacturer "apologizes for this inconvenience" :) Great video though, so there's that!

Jennifer it would have been nice to see some real reviews before buying it but they were all scripted looking reviews . Cheers
Merry Christmas Brother, Hope you enjoyed Your Holiday. We use The Ring cam, They work good. Stay Safe Steve. Dizzy.

It's too cold up here eh :) Take Care and say hello to the maid for me . Cheers 👍

Take a look at GP Outdoors, he's up that way and he's had good luck at his cabin with Reolink camera's.
Thanks Rick , I will right now. 👍

Well this sucks for you! Luckily for me because I never bough one. Thanks for the review, Steve! No Vosker V150 for me!

It's technology sold with high hopes but delivers low results for me so next spring I will check it out.

Ed it's just not communicating at all . Not updating , nothing . Next spring I have a look.

HAHAHA good idea Ed .
Just wanted to say hello and subscribed to your channel 😊 seen ya on Kenny's shout out. Great looking show brother 👌
Thanks Lewis 👍
At 6:05 Artificial Intelligence at it's best "It Just Needs A Software Update"
Could be , next spring I will find out.
I have had this camera on a construction job-site for two years thru all the Mississippi seasons ….. have had NO problems….. I must have gotten lucky ! 🤔
@claybeard5010 This is an awesome camera if your in the south without a cold winter. It's definitely a challenge in -40 😉
In my opinion, all these type of camera systems are glitchy. Maybe build an insulated housing for the camera?
Glitches are so right. The technology is not there yet for the price point .

This one being a celular connection and a low price point hinted at what I could expect 🤣😅
Looks like the LITHIUM battery might have failed in low temps??
Hi Mike
The camera works great until it experiences cold weather. Not sure what failed but it's a dud . The solar panel is quite small and the battery may not last starting in the fall when we see less sun as well as cold weather.
What brand do you suggest?
I would suggest this brand if you don't live in a cold climate . Living in a cold climate once the solar panel is covered with snow it shuts down after the battery runs down. Yea if it does not work in the cold it is worthless
It looks like I'm the only one on youtube that has not had a great experience with it . I also didn't get one for free to review either :)
Hate you are having that much of a problem with the camera. Hope you can find something to replace it with. Cheers Steve
Lloyd I'm convinced the reviews we see inline are not very accurate , not even close to reality . It seems there are actually alternative facts 😅🤣
Thanks for the review, just junk the whole system it’s to unreliable!
If it does not work as soon as it gets cold it's logical it might be the cold or just broke , not impressed at all . Cheers
Glad you posted this Steve. We have been looking into a camera like this and had looked at this particular one. Not sure what we are going to get but this one is crossed off the list for sure.
Hi Billy
It worked good in the warm weather but now it's a dud so ya I'd pass on it . Take Care
Well obviously YOU ARE the problem! 🤣🤣 but seriously this camera is not reliable. And now the question is, do you need constant internet connection in order to keep up with firmware updates and so on!

Well done Steve. I guess I keep my old system and that Vosker system is good if your in Mexico I guess. No Vosker for me too.....CHEERS
Yes Mexicans have the temperature for a security camera forsure.
really enjoyed your honest review. Thank you
@@RANGERS28DIZ Much appreciated 👍
One for the dump to bad.
Exactly Jason, it's a not recommended from me on this one. Could be a one off but so am I :)

Hi Kenny
It's technology that's definitely sold at a great price point but so far the price matches the performance:)
We had cameras on the windshiels of our charter buses. Those cameras failed because of condensation inside the camera. They didn't last long. If the camera isn't sealed and nitrogen filled, cold, hot changes make the misture build from humidity leaching in the camera housing. So far I haven't experienced any camera concerns at all , just poor battery performance in cold weather.
Came over to have a look from Kenny at Open Air! New subscriber, and really like what’s seeing. Cheers, Mike
Thanks Mike 👍

Thanks Paul , this technology is evolving and hopefully they figure it out, but until then it's what I experienced and it's not what I expected 😉
Maybe a solar powered heat blanket would keep the camera snuggy warm.
HAHAHA, yes, it would be a great option for countries with winter . Cheers Alex
Same issues with mine!!
I am going to show how to bypass the solar panel and battery and power it off my own solar panel and battery so it never shuts down again.
We get -35 good to know pls post a system that works thx
This camera works great when the battery is charged up so I'm bypassing it all . This summer I should have it all figured out.
