You know so many songs!!!!!! I am beyond impressed!!!! I am in love with your musical memory, your personality, hands, and fingers. If my brain weren’t so slow and my general current life, I’d be inspired to try to learn piano like you play.

I loved the Russian rag, too, especially how it started with that classical tune from Chopin (or was it Liszt) then turned into a rag style.

This was sooo enjoyable. I didn’t miss too many. Although I didn’t remember all the lyrics. God how did I ever learn them all. Old movies? The piano and old sheet music and my parents.

The person I mentioned was Blossom Seeley, a famous vaudevillian. She died MANY years ago! Haha (1886-1974).

Smoky Moes sounds like it has snippets from der konigs something or other- a tragic German poem and song about a dad and son running away on their horse from a monster of some sort. The exact placement runs away from my brain.

I like your medleys quite well--your music is so happy...long medleys are good for playing with silent films (sometimes symphony halls do this as a special fun family night)...for bars, parties, concerts, short to medium pieces are better...dts/usa

Have just caught up with your opening medley (missed the first half hour of live broadcast). Wow!! What a fabulous 30 minutes - thank you for reminding us just how beautiful and upbeat popular music used to be. I shall be replaying this concert many times!

This is my first time listening!! WOW!! I am a classical music and opera fan. Horowitz made several transcriptions of opera arias and some of these arias from this time period would make some excellent additions to your show. Puccini and Giordano wrote some great music. Best part, their arias lasted less than 3 minutes...to fit them on victoriola disks. Perhaps you might consider adding an aria transcriptions or two in future concerts???

I had an idea for a theme that you might be interested in. I was thinking about how popular rag, blues and jazz were here in North America, but I got to thinking about how very popular this music was in Europe, as well. Particularly in England, France and Germany. Might make for a good show.🙂
