When do you say that it's past the point of repair? I've got a antique radio without the radio and the hinges just fell out and took a big chunk of wood with it! With old furniture like this it looks like it's cherry wood and fruit wood combined

Damage can be repaired with 2k putty. 2k Putty is very strong.
