As you read this, there are intelligent, highly paid executives working throughout the automotive industry. These individuals are wracking their brains, studying sales data and interrogating focus groups in attempts to get a lead on the next niche market that’s ripe for exploitation. A few years ago now, some bright spark at Ford hit on a particularly good one. The resulting Ford S-MAX MPV brought previously unheard-of levels of dynamism to the market for big seven-seat vehicles. As the first on the scene, Ford raked in the plaudits and its coffers swelled accordingly.

Great video. Very helpful. Even before having a family, I always found the S-Max to be a good looking car. Now its large person capacity would be handy, it was good to know that adaptive cruise and city braking are available. I was also surprised to learn the base 2.0 petrol and 2.0T have similar MPG and VED/emission figures. I was leaning towards a BMW 225XE. I'll take a look at these now too. I imagine there's aftermarket support for Android Auto on these?
As usual a bencmark for any and all car reviews on the net. A must look up before buying or checking up any car 4 me.! (hava an 2.0 240hp 2013. ecoboost one now and 😊👍

How can you tell if its a 200bhp or 240bhp model?

Thats the one got myin took up to 250BHP.... and by god she can move...
2.0 tdci 140hp isn't enough? I am considering to buy but I can't find 2.2 200hp
@@serkanhalid4794 get the 163 2.0d in manual to avoid the powershift potential problems. Brilliant car - we’ve had our 2010 S Max 7 years now. It’s even better than my car. We get between 580-640 out of a tank too.
Or... Buy the 176Kw 240hp 2.0 ecoboost 👍👍👍
