Teenager killed by tree while cleaning up storm damage at Pittsburgh-area sportsmen's club

An 18-year-old man is dead after a tree fell on him while he was cleaning up storm damage at the Trafford Sportsmen's Club in Westmoreland County on Thursday. KDKA-TV's Mamie Bah reports.

After 45 years of tree work, it is dangerous regardless if "you know what you're doing". Physics, probability, and bad luck can conspire against the best of us.
My heart goes out to that teenager, for what likely was either a bad decision, or bad luck. Maybe both. RIP.

On Sunday we were in a pavilion at north park when a tree sized branch fell and almost took out the pavilion next to us. Fortunately no one got hurt but it was a close call. The people in that pavilion were having a wake for a friend that had passed.
