I loved seeing your room, Karen and all the wonderfully organized items! Your drawers of washi made me smile...they're just so pretty! Looking forward to seeing your new craft room & closet all filled up! :)
Thank you so much Kathy! I'm really excited to finally be close to moving into the new house and into my new craft room ... I can't wait to share it with everyone. It's been a really long year waiting for the house to get built! How are your renovations going ?
@@YesPleasePapercrafts Hi Karen, our renovations seem to be going slowly but maybe my expectations are set too high?? LOL They have done most of the demo, a lot of the walls that are to be removed are down to the studs, but they cannot completely get rid of them until they get the permit to install the beams. I'm not sure how long that is supposed to take. We did go down in May and got to see the place, I took lots of pictures and we did a lot of work outside. Lots of yard work, cleaned out the old ugly bushes from the mulch beds, stuff like that; it looks so much better even though there is a lot more yard work we'd like to do. :)
I started following you for organizing ideas the minute I saw your flip bins. I copied that idea and I have all my paper stored that way. Using ideas from you and totally Tiffany, I have all my paper, loose, collections, card stock, 6 x 6 pads, etc, stored in flip bins organized by color (solid and print), themes, seasons, and alphabetically. I am a visual person so being able to flip and see the paper helps me utilize my supplies so much better. I can’t wait to see your new space. So excited for you for your new home and new scrap area.
Thanks so much Brenda! I'm so happy that my videos helped you get your paper organized. I'm definitely going to try to put more flip bins in my new craft room!!!
I have been watching your channel for a while now!!! I have also utilised number of your ideas such as flip bins and clear embellishment drawers. Happy moving!
I recently came across your channel and I love it. We have recently downsized and I discovered that my office furniture I was using is way too large and bulky so I am going to sell that and get Ikea Kallax and Alex drawers for storage. It's a work in progress! I am in a wheelchair so I am basically going to fill the walls and vertical space but not so much in the middle of the room so I can just turn my chair around as needed to get supplies. I so appreciate you sharing why you have the ottoman under your table. I have different issues but my legs and feet swell badly and I have been trying to figure out what I could do to help with that when I scrap. I might try your method. I am going back and watching all your storage videos. You have great ideas and we seem to like the same type of things. Thanks so much! PS: LOVE YOUR FUR BABIES! I am wanting a Yorkie and another miniature Dachshund. I just lost my 17 year old Dachshund back in October They are our family, right!
Yes, I'll definitely miss some things about my craft room. Over the years, I've had both large and small craft rooms and I have to say that having a large craft room can be as challenging or even more so than having a smaller craft room. My current room is so long that I tend not to use half the room but it ends up just for storage. So, I'm hoping my new craft room will be better because it's not going to be as large and I'll have a closet that is 5x13' where I can store things that I don't want to have out in my workspace. I guess I'll have to wait and see how it works out once I move. Hopefully, I'll love the new one even more than the one I have now 😋
Omg!!! Love it but I think you need more Washi tape. 🤣🤣🤣 I believe that cart from Ikea with EVERYTHING hanging off it may just suit my small house purposes.
I can always use more washi tape. lol ... I don't think there's such a thing as too much washi tape or too much paper!!! Is there? The raskog carts from Ikea are awesome ... I love those little bins that hang on the sides. I also love that I can take the bins off the cart and set them on my table while I'm working.
I love your video GF! Can't wait to see your craft room tour and your NEW craft room when you move. I just love how you organize everything. You have given me so many great ideas!
Thanks so much Joanne! I loved seeing your craft room too 🥰 Thanks for joining in the hop. It's been so much fun to see everyone's space and yours is gorgeous!!!
Thanks so much Linda! I only saw the tool chest at Home Goods that one time and I've never seen anything like it since. However, you might be able to find something similar online by searching for "roller cabinet metal tool chest with castors"... I've seen them in a lot of different colors (mostly gray, black, red) but also pink, blue, yellow, orange and green. I think the biggest challenge would be finding one that is small enough to roll under a table because a lot of these tool chests are quite large.
I use one of my husband's Craftsman tool rollaways. It is taller and has larger drawers and is made for lots of weight. We repainted it in colors to match our scrap area and use it to hold our punches, which are heavy and a perfect item to go in the heavy duty drawers.
Such an amazing space! When I saw your flip bins the first time I saw them, I knew they were for me! I’ve utilized so much of my paper using it that way - TFS 🤗
Thanks so much Dawna! That's so awesome that you were able to use flip bins in your craft room. I have 3 flip bins in my current craft room but I want to make more space in my new craft room so that I can do a couple of more bins for my 12x12 paper. Thanks for joining in the hop. It's been so much fun to see everyone's space. hope you have an awesome weekend! Karen 🤗
Scrappers heaven there! That craft space is about 3 of mine! It is beautiful! When you figure out how to organize that ribbon, let us know. My ribbon is all stuffed in plastic shoe box containers, waiting for me to come up with a brilliant idea. Thank you so much for sharing with us. I have longed to see your scrap space for awhile now. Just seeing bits & pieces during your videos, I knew it was gonna be fabulous. I hope you're able to fit everything in your new house too. That's a big size change so hoping that big closet will help you too. And your girls! Always love seeing them!
Thanks so much Julia! I haven't figure out what I'm going to do to organize the ribbon in those drawers yet, but when I do I will definitely share that with y'all. Oh, my, your room is lovely. Looks so clean and organized. Love what you have done with the closet. I am a new subbie as of today. I found your video where you showed about 3 years ago how to store your 12 x 12 paper in those shallow boxes. Then this popped up. I just moved in too. I lived in Dallas and now I am in Phoenix. The first weekend in November I will seriously begin moving in, as my mother recently passed away. Are you moving to a different city or just a different house? Your space looks spectacular. I love your Yorkies. I am a pug fan, but your Yorkies are so very cute.
Hi Lucy ... thanks so much for subbing to my channel. I'm so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I moved to a new house that is in the same city because I was looking for something that was low maintenance. I built a new construction home that is in an Active 55+ community which has an HOA that includes yard maintenance. The house I just moved out of was older with a huge yard and was just too much for me to handle ... so hoping that a newer home with a smaller yard will be easier to take care of and less to worry about. I did love the craft room in my old house and I'm hoping that once I get settled into my new craft room, I'm going to love it even more. Good luck with your move ... I hope everything goes well for you. It can be really stressful to move and a ton of work but the one tip that I would give you to make your move be less stressful is to be sure to label all your boxes so that you know what's in them so that once you move, you can focus on the things you need to unpack right away to live in your house and worry about the rest later. Karen 🤗
lol ... I sure hope so. I do think that it will fit ... my new house has 10' ceilings even in the closets. And my new craft room has a walk-in closet that is 5x13' with 10' ceilings ... so I'm thinking that I'll have plenty of storage space. I'm hoping that having the large closet is going to make up for having a smaller craft room. I just found out that my house closing may be the first week of July ... I'm so excited to get to move in!!! I guess I need to get busy packing things up.

lol .. I actually do have a small walk-in craft closet off the hallway that is right outside my craft room ... I think it's about 4-5' but the ceilings are only 8ft . It's where I keep my albums, finished layouts and things that I don't use often (like my glitter and my Christmas collections). I guess I'll have to wait and see if everything fits in the new space.
